I have to change my appointment with Dr. Thomas and after reading these reviews I plan on simply canceling! I wasn't looking forward to going to her anyway but this cinched it! How is this woman allowed to practice? I felt she was incompetent and I didn't like her but after reading these reviews I realize my feelings were correct. Not going back! Wow! No excuse!

I got a bad mammogram result after the test was ordered as routine by my PCP. I was told to see a GYN asap for a breast exam and further instructions. New to the area I found Dr Thomas took my insurance so I made an appt and figured I'd just get my yearly exam as well. The waiting room was empty except for me, but I waited almost an hour to be seen. Finally getting in, I wrapped myself in the flimsy paper coverup that was shredding apart from just sitting there and I proceeded to wait some more. Dr Thomas came in and discussed nothing with me, then proceeded to do a so-called breast exam. She barely touched me, there was no palpitating done and I don't know how she could've found a lump when she put forth no effort whatsoever to do so. Then she started to leave the room and I had to say "aren't you going to do a PAP smear?" Her reply "oh, you want a PAP smear, too?" Then she acted like she was doing it, but I never saw a swab or anything else like previous times with the sample ready to be sent to the lab. I could have breast cancer, but Dr Thomas was not the least bit caring or professional. She then referred me to TEPAS Breast Center, but obviously didn't communicate with them about my case because it was just another long wait and then no exam. The PA said one thing, the dr something else, so yet another runaround and no resolutions. Because my main concern was to get the breast exam and further instructions on the negative mammogram and Dr Thomas couldn't care less, I was forced to go see another doctor after all of this and start at the beginning. I didn't mind her quirky, lackadaisical demeanor, but please, improve your professional manner and actions. The sign out front depicts an OB/GYN. If you can't be good at what you do, if you have no feeling for it, then go do something else. This doctor definitely does not take pride in her livelihood.

I strongly discourage anyone from using Dr. Thomas for prenatal care. Though a perfectly nice but quirky individual, Dr. Thomas is an extremely unqualified practitioner. Throughout my prenatal care, she never had more than 7 minutes of her time to give me and my husband at each appointment. We often had to yell after her as she was leaving the room in order to get all of our questions answered. She was never forthright with any helpful information; we always had to be our own advocates. I had a Level 2 US at 18 weeks due to a false positive on a genetic screen. She never discussed the results with us at any appointment. I only received a phone call from her nurse with a general "everything is fine" statement. By the time I was entering my third trimester, we were realizing how unhappy we were under her care. However, it felt too late to switch doctors because she collected my entire deductible TWICE (two different calendar years) up front as a deposit, so we were concerned we would lose this money if we switched physicians. We decided to educate ourselves as much as possible so that we could manage my care, figuring "what is the worst that could happen?" At 35 weeks pregnant, we asked Dr. Thomas to confirm the baby's position. After a brief exam, Dr. Thomas was adamant baby was head down. What a relief! Knowing the baby could potentially flip positions, my husband and I felt my stomach every night, becoming extremely familiar with the bump that was the bottom, per Dr. Thomas. That bump never changed location in my uterus. At 37 weeks, we asked Dr. Thomas to reconfirm baby's position and again, she was very confident baby remained head down. At 40 weeks, I had not yet gone into labor and did not want to be induced, as I was really hoping for a natural delivery. At 40 weeks and 3 days, I had an US at Holmes to check my fluid levels to make sure it was safe for me to continue pregnancy without induction. The technician began the US and the first thing she said was, "And baby is in the breech position, as I am sure you all know." My heart dropped to the floor and the blood rushed to my head. I was FURIOUS. How could a board-certified DOCTOR mistake the baby's large head for it's bottom? In speaking with other practitioners, there is no excuse for this misinformation. I scheduled a C-section the next day (and tried my best to use the rotating Holmes doctor as opposed to Dr. Thomas). However, Dr. Thomas did end up performing the C-section, never acknowledging her horrific mistake. Thank goodness the C-section was uneventful. Following my C-section, Dr. Thomas never came to see me in the hospital. At 2 weeks postpartum, I had not heard from her office so I called to follow up and was told they only needed to see me at 6 weeks. The hospital had specifically told me my doctor will probably want to see me 2 weeks postpartum to confirm the incision is healing appropriately. At this point, I knew I had to find another physician to perform my postpartum check-up, as I had lost all trust in her ability to provide me with even the most basic of care. I provided my medical records to a new physician's office, and was told they probably couldn't see me because their practice was full, but would review my records and give me a call. I received a call back from this doctor's office within one hour, scheduling me for an appointment within the week. Upon seeing the new doctor, she stated she agreed to see me after "what I went through" during my prenatal care, and wanted to "provide me with a good experience." In summary, on a professional level, Dr. Thomas is unqualified to provide prenatal care.

When I got pregnant with my son I wanted to make sure I had a female doctor again for I am not from this area!! She took my insurance that I had at the time! I could not have been more happier! She was a great and friendly doctor! She talked to me about everything and explained a lot of things to my other children! And when it was that time she was there with in minutes! I would have to say i will tell everyone to go to here that i know who is having babies and or any other problems! She really is a great doctor and the staff was as nice as can be, I love how everyone gets to know you and helps make you feel like you are part of a family!

I was looking to change gynecologists since my last one was rude to me, didn't try to understand my concerns, and didn't answer my questions. My friend recommended Dr. Christine Thomas. I saw some of the negative reviews, but I trust my friends judgement more than unknown reviews. Some of these reviews don't seem to be relevant or are purposefully rude. I was very impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the staff that I dealt with. When I finally met Dr. Thomas, she was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. She answered all of my questions and I appreciated the extra time she spent with me. She was to the point in some areas, which I appreciate. I hope others read this and give Dr. Thomas a visit.

I moved to the area towards the beginning of my pregnancy and as a victim of sexual abuse, I wanted a female OB that my insurance covered. Now at 36 weeks I'm scrambling to transfer again. For every appointment I've been lukewarm towards her for her rushing in and out of the room and not letting me ask my questions, but after not explaining what she was doing for a cervical check to a sexual abuse victim (which it mentions in my file) and then not giving me time to ask any questions afterwards before leaving, I am done. She's neglected to mention several important things about my pregnancy to me as well. I'd rather deliver this baby myself than have her ever lay a finger on me again. For those of you looking for an OB, stay away! She's very punctual, but your level of care suffers for it!

She's rude, inconsiderate, and acts like you are holding her up from something more important. Each appointment she listens to heartbeat for less than a minute, at 20 wks I had to beg for a sonogram and she refused to print the picture. Told me she won't tell me the gender because she doesn't do that and since I'm diabetic I need to have my tubes tied as soon as I deliver.
