Excellent doctor, really listens, superb diagnostician. She observes the patient, questions carefully and examines you. She works out exactly what's wrong and outlines your treatment options. She is thinking all the time and focuses her attention on the patient.

I have found her to be excellent. She stuck to her guns on a diagnosis and a consultant's appointment proved her to be right. A friend had an ongoing issue, had undergone numerous tests and seen every consultant in Dublin to no avail. One day, suffering terribly, she went into Dr Stafford off the street. The doctor asked her a series of questions about her issue, diagnosed her there and then, wrote her a prescription and within 24 hours my friend was better. Phenomenal.

Dr Stafford keeps the consultation professional. After the consultation she is warm and friendly.

Unfortunately she does not have a secretary, so it can be difficult to catch her, but the trick is to ring at 8am, noon or 3.30pm, or to send en email.

I have never seen a dog in the building - I think this is an urban myth.

Unprofessional environment - the GP office has clutter everywhere, and there is no receptionist so the Dr answers calls whist in the meeting. I never received my receipt or test results.

Absolutely the most amazing doctor ever. I am so thankful to Dr. Stafford for her professionalism, kindness and reassurance during my pregnancy and when I became a new mom too. I will be forever grateful and thankful to Dr Stafford. Audrey

Extremely rude and not polite to deal with. No compassion or empathy when dealing with patients. Especially when working with people who dont have English as a first language. The visit was so negative and unpleasant. At times she presented aggressive in her manners. Looking at the other reviews her oack of professionalism is lacking.

Knowledge is top as ever. A chemist told me I had a cold sore and prescribed me zovirax but Dr Maura realised it was a benignant growth so I had it removed at her property. The lovely dog that sat at my feet is a bonus. I don't understand all the unfair comments below. GB

Terrible professional. Visit her three times for something that I had in my hand. She isalways in a hurry. 5min consultation = 70 euros each time. In the third consultation, I pressured her for results, and she gave up and referred me to somebody else.

I have seen Maura for the last 10 occasionally. She is a good doctor and refrains from overmedicating which i like.
However the service quality inn the practice has really disimproved in the last few years. I don't understand why she got rid of her assistant?
Now Maura takes all calls for booking and emails receipts (late). Also I strongly feel that a dog should not be roaming around in a doctor's office.
I am currently considering changing GP after all those years because I think the service quality is really disimproving and also I am not happy with the dog roaming around.
