Instantly felt comfortable with this fine Doctor. He takes the time to explain everything and is very patient with questions . He even phoned me at 6pm one evening to give me test results .

Dealing with complicated health issues including cancer of a bladder diverticulum and bladder (previous surgery done in calgary), I found Dr. Blair St. Martin to be exceedingly knowledgeable, professional and patient.
He explained all of my options, their projected outcomes, recovery, functionality and risks associated with the procedure(s).
Prior to surgery - the option I chose - Dr. Blair St. Martin arranged that I undergo a series of tests to ensure (a) that nothing was missed or overlooked and (b) to ensure maximum benefit from the surgery.

His thoroughness impressed both me and my wife.

Hus patience in explaining complicated procedures to two people who are not trained in medicine is to be applauded.

He drew diagrams, explained all that was involved, the various functions of each part of the body that was affected and/or involved and he provided literature and classes that we could attend.

Fast forward almost 11 months later and I am cancer free - all without need for cancer therapy and I have maintained full bladder function.

I would score Dr. Blair St. Martin 6 across the board if I could because having dealt, in the past, with a different urologist in Calgary - though I do not mean to compare doctors - it is, I must say, like night is to day.

You might not be seen exactly at your appointed time, but when you consider the quality and care given, it is not worth mentioning - except to say that if you see this amazing and talented doctor, and should you have questions to ask, know that they will be addressed and you will not be rushed out the door.

That is why, sometimes, you might find him running a bit behind schedule because he sees you as a person, his patient, and your understanding of what is going on matters to him.

He will explain everything to you on a level of understanding you can absorb and to the degree that you want to know - if you are inclined to not want the details, he will not burden you with them.

If you are like me and want to know everything, then he will disclose it all to you and explain anything you do not readily understand.

I highly recommend Dr. Blair St. Martin for any and all urological needs.

Informed me I had prostrate cancer it was in early stage so had many choices told me he was a surgeon so he would want to cut , if you go to a radiologist he will want to use radiology,so I should make my own mind up went on the internet found a Dr in Toronto (his credentials are Urologist oncologist and a Dean at Toronto university) he was interested in medicine and man kind not just his wallet and what days he gets off
I did went to Toronto for a procedure there it was the best choice I ever made
