He doesn’t take no responsibility after surgery, you are your own, he just does the surgery and that’s it, he doesn’t want to do nothing with you, you can’t talk to him, you can’t ask him questions, his office visit only 10 minutes maximum, he talks you listen , if you ask question he gets mad, I never met a rude surgeon like Dr Soon Shiong. Stay away from him.

About 4 weeks ago, I tore some ligaments in my lower back
That evolved into nerve pain down the right glute and leg all the way to the toes.
A few weeks of chiro and massage did little to nothing to mitigate the pain

I got X Rays and a private MRI in Buffalo but my family doctor never got to see them.
An Emergency Room visit on Friday was followed by another one on Sunday night for lightening bolts of excruciating pain down my back and RH leg

On Sunday night’s visit, it turned out that I was in far more trouble than a wrenched back.
Another MRI confirmed I had burst a spinal disk and it was compressing the spinal column.
Where the disk was imposing on my spinal cord was specifically leg, bowel and bladder nerves.
Once nerves die, they don’t regenerate so this information put everything into a far higher level of seriousness....
I was in danger of permanently losing the ability to walk and bladder and bowel control.
(= wheelchair-bound in diapers for the rest of my life...)

I am grateful that the Emerg doctors at York Central referred my case to Dr. Gregory Soon Shiong who was on call that night at Cortellucci Hospital
Dr. Soon Shiong ordered me to transfer hospitals immediately and I was whisked into surgery Monday at 2;30AM

It is now Wednesday night and while there is pain from the hole in my back, I'm happy to say that there does not appear to be any permanent nerve damage

My legs, bladder and bowels are still mine to control and for that, I am forever grateful to Dr Soon Shiong and the surgical team at Cortellucci Hospital

Good news is I’m out of surgery with working legs, bowels & bladder.
Bad news is my spine is very weak and compromised but physio and exercise should address most of that.

After 27 long years of pain and suffering, I luckily got the chance to meet Dr. Gregory Soon Shiong who was very firm with me, explaining that my case is very tough and that he will do the best he can to improve my miserable condition. Finally, I had the surgery on July 15, L4-L5-S1 decompression and fusion (TLIF - 4,5 hours) and the next day I was able to walk on the hospital floor some 20 meters or so. The day after I already felt better and ever since the surgery day my condition is improving and I realized that my leg/back pain is mainly gone, I'm still taking painkillers but feel stronger and better every day.
Dr. Gregory Soon Shiong is a fantastic surgeon, he has a team of truly professional people around him and together they all did an excellent job helping me to overcome many years of extreme leg and back pain. The surgery was performed at Cortellucci Hospital in Vaughan and I would like to say a big Thank You to all nurses and hospital personnel who were around me those days. Cortellucci Hospital is one of the best in the world with the best doctors, surgeons and nurses.
To Dr. Gregory Soon Shiong, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Gets paid to lie about WSIB cases. Will insist you are fine even when you have MRI evidence to the contrary. Karma is coming for this money-grabber.

I was basically crippled with a bulging L4-S1 disc. I had been in agony for over 9 months. I was finally referred to Doctor Soon-Shiong and was scheduled for surgery right away. A week after the surgery I was walking with two canes with minimal pain. Things have been great ever since. (25 years ). He literally saved my life. Thank you so much Doc.👍👍

Dr. Soon-Shiong did an excellent job fixing my husbands back after another surgeon elsewhere botched the job. He even called me before my husband was out of recovery to say how much better my husbands quality of life would be. Excellent surgeon!

Had emergency decompression surgery March 10 ,2021. I had Cauda Equina Syndrome . Dr. Soon Shiong was there after my surgery at 11:00 pm to ensure i could feel my right side. My surgery was not your typical decompression surgery and Dr. Soon Shiong preformed a miracle. He gave me a second chance. He’s truly a gifted doctor. I feel safe and can trust him. There are not enough words to thank him!!!!!
