Terrible experience. Rushed from the minute you enter. Dr. is arrogant, rude, impatient. If you dare to ask questions he becomes angry, acts challenged and it goes downhill from there, regardless of the level of pain you are in. Does not follow the Hippocratic oath of "do no harm" to patients. An ego maniac to avoid!!!

His Buddhist signage is the complete polar opposite of what you will experience from Dr. Freeman in his operatory from behind his podium. His cultural appropriation of dreadlocks just adds layers to the confused message between what you see, and what you get. It is been my fortune to have needed the doctor for some procedural work and from there on, I followed through with Nina. Nina, the Nurse Practitioner will be your savior. Keep your eye on the apple; get what you need and then distance yourself from this pain management czar. You can quickly schedule follow-ups with his delightful & professional NP. They could not be more opposite, which is a great thing. I felt so uncomfortable under his scrutiny during his interrogation. I’ve actually never met a doctor like him. But if you can withstand his curt, berating demeanor for 2-3 visits, you never have to see him again. When I met him, I could not have been feeling worse and his style or lack of style, made me feel so much worse. He is condescending to the point of bizarre; after all who is paying who here. I try to understand how a young, gifted md started his practice of choice and then wound up here at age 57. He is not a bringer of light and healing. When I needed him to help me figure out what medications would help me, he just said, “what do you need?” at the time I wish I had the wherewithal to say, “I have no idea. do you think you could use your expertise to get me started. “
I should’ve known right then & there that he had his shortcomings (which is a very kind word to use). The way he conducts the appointment from behind his podium, and has never once examined me and kept his 8 foot distance. I think the only reason anybody puts up with him is because he is pain management. People are so exhausted from trying to get their injections or the medications they need, that they (we) are willing to go through hoops to get relief. Any other practice, I would never have returned. But I know that compassionate and professional Nina will pick up his mess and save the day…. in my eyes. Everyone that he has surrounded himself with are so above average & are very nice. They all know that he is miserable. They are professional as not to say one word, as I uttered out my disapproval if his treatment, you can tell by their body language, and quiet response, they all know he is extremely difficult. They get it. I too have found the billing to be ridiculous. I stopped paying cash because I found I needed to be able to reference my bank statement to verify payment. That’s just crazy. Lisa is extremely confident and has been very helpful to me during my arduous injury. He’s really lucky to have these people around him as it just makes him more palatable. It is from his podium that he berates & condescends from his lofty niche. I can’t help but wonder what caused a potentially gifted MD to sour …perhaps it’s just from listening to people complain, and being in a hurry to just wrap it up. To some degree he has lost his way, but perhaps not as the quality of his staff tells me otherwise. I just can’t imagine doing what he does for a living and not trying to uplift your patience. What a waste. He purposely goes out of his way to make that appointment unpleasant. God forgive you if you do not understand the importance of the structure to his forms. You will need to list any new pains each time you see him that are separate from your pre-existing complaints. I had the schooling of a lifetime for not tracking on how he usesbthe paperwork. I felt so embarrassed for him that I was blushing. I would continually take note of how his assistant was rolling through his shameful tirade. You could tell this was just another day at the office for her. After an appointment, I was alone with her, and I apologized to her that I didn’t understand how he ran the show, and she said, “no that’s fine. This happens all the time.” Great… This happens all the time!!!! Between his Buddhist signage and his dreadlocks, you might think that the packaging looks deep and understanding…I t’s not… it’s all a rouse. Mind you I have never left a review for a doctor in my lifetime. But I really feel like I wish I had read a review like mine just to give me a heads up…..I was dumbfounded after the 2nd appointment…literally I was dazed and confused. The office manager had made it clear to me that if I would like I could see Nina once my injections were done, she could make that happen. She knew she was throwing me a lifeline here; they all know, he is the Pain Management Czar. Good luck, you can get what you need here & don’t let this insensitive doctor derail you. Please note that in your paperwork each week, you will need to properly separate “new pain” from any pain you previously reviewed. If you are confused, he revels in making you feel belittled and in a most condescending way. How low will YOU go for relief???

So I have been a pain management patent for 10 years so I have something to compare him to.My first doctor I stayed with for 8 until she stopped practicing and 2 years with my second who relocated out of state never had an issue.when you go into dr Freedmans office you will notice all the keep calm and carry on Buddhist good karma signs all over and you will feel like this is going to be a good experience but it’s going to be anything but that once you meet him a few times.I think it took me four visits to realize I was getting the heck out of there and not caring where I was going to go next.He is so uptight you can feel it he doesn’t ask you how are you feeling he guides to conversation to just answer exactly what he says quickly and be quite.Hes snarky and quick witted definitely full of himself and you can the sense of vanity like he’s in love with himself. He couldn’t care less about your pain he is also a injection jockey looking to set you up with whatever injections he can and may I also add that his injections are the most painful I have ever experienced in my life out of all the many times I have been injected he doesn’t even try to make it hurt less by using a numbing spay first which is what most doctors do.He just jumps to conclusions before your done speaking he just shuts you down time and time again and is out the door in 5 minuets flat after you wait 2 hours. You pay your co pay their then his billing company bills you again for the same copay month after month and the office says don’t even pay attention to the bill..until you call and have to fight and prove you have been paying and being charged twice...there is nothing calming about this place

Dr. Freeman was a new doctor for me having just relocated to the area. My experience has been simply incredible. He has been from the beginning compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. He takes time to listen to you and explains everything. Dr Freeman is someone I trust and I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

Dr, Freeman has made it possible for me to walk without pain in my back, knee and hip. It was really interfering with my day to day living. I'm able to exercise and walk upright. Pain management is the alternative to surgery or nothing and surgery doesn't always work. I had back surgery and it made it worse.
