Dr Eisenberg is a compassionate and very competent doctor and I would highly recommend him, however his staff is the most unresponsive I have ever come across. For the simplest request,a patient can wait two weeks or more and still not get an answer...this has happened over and over again..we ha e I listed the help of ourhealth insurance, other dr's offices etc and they received the same non-response as we have.

Dr. Eisenburg treated my mother for over seven years for SLE (Lupus). For years he would call her back after hours or on the occasional weekend if she was having severe symptoms that sent her to the ER. In November 2012, she was taken to the ICU when Lupus attacked her lungs and heart. Over the next 10 days the ICU doctors repeatedly tried to contact him because he knew my mother's case intimately. He did not respond to a single ICU call/message nor the numerous calls and emails my sisters and I sent asking for his input. Instead he sent a doctor my mother had never seen in the 7 years she was a patient and that doctor responded with "I'm not that familiar with her case" to almost every medication and disease history question the ICU had. My mother died after ten days in the ICU and Eisenburg still has not spoken to our family since she was admitted 18 months ago. I would caution any person from trusting this man with a loved one.

I have fibromyalgia and other conditions that no one can really treat, because I am hypersensitive to meds and everything else. Dr Eisenberg has always been amiable and patient with me. He will give me his opinion and generally do what I request, if he thinks it is best for me. Very compassionate. He doesn't do a lot proactively, there is little he can do . Very understanding and a people person. He steers me away from alternative treatments if he thinks I a being taken advantage of. He is the one who picked up the ball when I had Vitamin D issues that couldn't be resolved. He refers to good Drs. I find that Lutheran General Doctors are generally warmer than others. Last visit, he asked to move to sit where he could see me, because they are computerizing now and he didn't want his back to me. Very sensitive for a male Dr and I have been to many of them, having been refused treatment by the first rheumatologist I saw because I can't take most meds. Steroid shot in the footwas perfect.

Dr. Eisenberg is a very compassionate doctor that really does care for his patients. He has been treating me for a severe case of osteoporosis and other problems. He is very conservative in his approach but does follow thru on additional treatments suggestions. I would highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Eisenberg is a very compassionate doctor but has gotten much too busy. He does not seem to be up on the latest healthcare information. As with most, pushes the meds.

An outstanding physician who takes a conservative approach. As an RN, I am reluctant to pursue aggressive medication regimens, and Dr. Eisenberg is so knowledgeable that he can recommend equally helpful alternatives. But beware, the woman to whom you are always referred (when you call the Morton Grove office) calls herself a "nurse" on her voicemail. She is not licensed as a nurse, and is not at all helpful. But the doctor is a gem!

Very personable and spends whatever time it takes during your office visit. This is why I think he can often run behind. I don't mind as much knowing he will give me the time I need. Very knowledgeable. Does not push meds on me since he listened that I don't want them. Helps me through physical therapy and alternative methods. Only problem is that the staff at the Morton Grove facility are terrible. DesPlaines is much much better.

I waited an hour and a half before he came in. Because I had been the other doctors about my problem, he said he did not care why I was in pain. He just wanted me to be on pain pills. For how long he did not know. Not at all encouraging and not concerned about drug side effects and interactions.

Dr. Eisenberg is an excellent doctor, but he is usually rushed and rarely running on time. I think he genuinely cares about his patients, but seems frustrated that he can't spend more time with them. He treats me like a person with respect.
