It was hard for me to find a replacement dentist after Dr. Sax retired from his practice. I had been going to see him for 10 years for all of my dental care. He did fillings, cleanings, and pulled my wisdom teeth. I was sad to see him leave, he was a great dentist! I never had any problems making appts or discussing issues with him.

A friend of mine recommended Dr. Sax and it was a very pleasant change from the bad experiences I have had prior with other dentists in the area. Dr. Sax and his staff took great care of me and took all the proper steps to resolve all my dental problems. I highly recommend this dentist!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sax for several years and have had several procedures done. All my experiences have been very positive as Dr. Sax is very knowledgable and clearly explained what was going on and what my options were. I am always able to get an appointment without a long wait.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sax for many years ever since locating to Pittsburgh from Lithuania. I have nothing but good things to say about this dentist. He had to fix much of the work that I had done back home. It looks much better and I am very happy with result.

First of all, Dr. Sax ' s staff is the best. Very professional, knowledgeable, polite and compassionate. They are so approachable and make you feel very comfortable. This staff is not just and only the face of " his " practice; they are all that is good about " his " practice period. I am not comfortable doing this and the only reason I am doing this is so the truth be told but most importantly, the truth must be known especially when dealing with one's health period. Dr. Sax puts on the almost perfect picture of what one would want when needing help with dental care. I must be fair and say that I was scheduled immediately on the same day UPMC had given his name to me, I called 3 other dentist who weren't available and he was the only dentist to see me asap since my situation was a true emergency. At the appointment, he came to his conclusion that he could not help me and I had to see an oral surgeon but he did a three teeth cleaning and cosmetic enhancement. Dr. Sax told me to call him after I had seen my oral surgeon to see what could be done, if anything could be done ... AFTER finding out that my insurance wouldn't cover what was needed done AND ESPECIALLY AFTER our conversation where I practically begged him if he could please do what was needed and allow me to pay cash but half up front then payments after. Total estimate for dental work was approximately $ 3500.00 to $ 6000.00 !!! I went on to oral surgeon then called Dr. Sax for a consultation appointment which the staff promptly scheduled me in BUT within 3 minutes returned my call to CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT and we're told to INSTRUCT ME to go to a SPECIALIST ... I was perplexed and upset. The SPECIALIST was " A DENTAL SCHOOL " ?!?!!! This was decided " UP ON DR SAX REVIEW OF MY CASE " within those 3 minutes after I made my consultation appointment!!! This came down to the sad TRUTH. THIS WAS AN ISSUES ABOUT AND OVER MONEY!!! Since my insurance would not cover an implant, he did not WANT to help me but he did offer TO CARE FOR MY 2 DAUGHTERS!!!??? It is now 1 month and 10 days that I have been painfully attempting to get through this ( from oral surgery I had to allow healing time approx a month I was told ) and the 2 out of the 3 teeth Dr Sax cleaned and cosmetically enhanced have now chipped and exposed a nerve, to now trying to find a new dentist who WILL HELP ME and gladly accept my cash payment. After all above said, please take full warning. Dr Sax is only in it for the MONEY !!! This is my true incident and I am furious and left very much so with pain, regret and disrespect for this did ... so please be careful with this dmd.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Sax's for many years. We are always treated wonderfully. Dr Sax has always been helpful and gentle. The office is very clean and professional. The staff is also very friendly, and helpful. I would never change my dentist, and I suggest Dr. Sax to anyone who asks. I had a lot of work done over the years, and Dr. Sax has always done an excellent job. Extractions, fillings, you name it, I didn't feel it. Whenever I tell someone to try his office, I am sure to get a positive response from their experience as well.
