Excellent doctor. Intuitive and thoughtful and intelligent and compassionate.

Dr Denmark is very rushed and cold. With a long history of several GI issues such as Crohn’s, GERD, and a hiatal hernia, I am someone who needs a Gastro who isn’t afraid of digging in and helping. She totally missed the hiatal hernia in my endoscopy. She rushed me in our phone appt(which by the way isn’t a scheduled time, she calls you whenever she has time in that day - this is an appointment not a call back, matter of face she didn’t called me back when I called with concerns of symptoms) and didn’t ask me details of any of my history and seemed rushed when I had questions that I just stopped asking because I got uncomfortable. Will be going elsewhere.

I suffered from hyperemesis gravidarium throughout my pregnancy (often vomiting upwards of 20+ times a day with constant nausea - yes, that's about as fun as it sounds), and my OB was hoping to work with Dr. Denmark to figure out a plan. Unfortunately, Dr. Denmark has to be one of the most abrupt and uncaring MDs I've encountered. She lacked of knowledge and was unwilling to work with other MDs on my team. Upon our first appointment, she stated that she can't do anything for me, simply washing her hands of my case. With a little insistence on my end, she agreed to make a few medication recommendations and write a note with these for my other doctors to consider. I felt so dismissed - it was not easy for me to make it to the appointment when I am vomiting so much. This type of attitude was not what you'd expect from a GI doctor, and certainly not from someone at NWH. Luckily, my OB has continued to be persistent in helping me through HG - setting up a central line, trying different medications and monitoring my pregnancy. I still think I could have benefited from a GI's knowledge, however I never want to be treated with that kind of disrespect again.

Did not help me figure out what was wrong with my gut, basically told me that I didn't have anything wrong when it turns out I have IBS, and gluten and lactose intolerant. Set me back a year and a half in healing the way I should have been healing my gut. She gave me a small list of foods I could eat, leaving me in a lot of confusion.

I consider myself very lucky to have found such a caring and compassionate GI Dr. After suffering from GI issues for quite some time, Dr. Denmark was able to get to the root of my problem when several other Dr.'s were not able to do so. She is caring and willing to invest time in patients. I also felt at ease talking with her about subjects that are not easy to generally talk about. I will be forever thankful that I found her. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Denmark. I would highly recommend her to anyone that finds themselves in need of a GI Dr.

I think she is great. I tend to ask a lot of questions (rather ask then guess) and she is always willing to sit and listen to me and talk. The got things covered when other doctors haven't. She will call to speak to me knowing I have a 2 hour commute for an appointment. I've tried out other doctors in my area that are closer and they don't compare to her care. I really love that she considers me a team member in my health care and not a body to treat.

I too have experienced Dr. Denmark being abrupt and seemingly annoyed with me when her first treatment tactic did not relieve my symptoms. At my latest appointment, her nurse told me she was running right on time and would be in to see me within 2 to 3 minutes. A half hour later I got up and opened the exam room door, fearing I had been forgotten. 10 minutes later, I waved Dr. Denmark in. I do not plan to return to Dr. Denmark or her practice, even though the nurses and office staff have always been very helpful and kind.

Dr. Denmark, as seen below, seems like a caring physician. however, today I had an Endoscopy and found Dr. Denmark to be abrupt, rude and very unconcerned about my discomfort. She actually didn't listen to me . I will never go to this practice in the future. I know these procedures are rote for physicians but there is no excuse for her uncaring attitude...she need a lesson in bed side manner.....
