My doctor of 35 years retiring - my husband was a patient of Sunanto and I was on file. Made appointment - he said the staff made a mistake in giving me an appointment and because I haven't been there for so long will not take me as a patient. All he did was complain about the system, the pay cut he took during covid, etc etc for the entire time I was in his office. Told me to go back to my retiring doctor and have him find me a new doctor. Was not impressed with him when he was my husband's doctor. Doesn't seem very informed and has no empathy at all.

Had been a patient of Dr Elfiky for years, who was a very good doctor. Dr Sutanto took over, he lack's beside manner, I find he really does not listen to my concerns and is quick to prescribe. Furthermore he did not refer to or double check my chart for allergies or intolerances to medications and prescribed me a drug I am intolerant too. Now looking for a new doctor.

I'm so happy that he agreed to take me on after my old family doctor retired without warning. He's been timely and I don't feel as rushed in appointments. The clinic is inside Superstore so it's also a convenient location!

Dr Sutanto always greets you by name and a friend. He us thorough and seems to know his trade very well

What I like most is that I barely have to wait! If he is running late, it's no more than 15-30 min....nothing compared to waiting in a walk-in for hours!! So glad I recently switched to seeing Dr. Ian!!

I had been going to Dr Elfiky for 35+ years. Dr Sutanto is a good doctor, still learning about people. I will be switching because of location and hours, not the doctor.

We started with Dr. Elfiky in the early 1980's and both my wife and I completely believe he fulfilled his promise to leave his patients in the same hands that he treated us with. Dr. Sutanto has given us the same time, help and care and has quickly led us to gain a great deal of confidence in him. He has earned out respect and we believe he deserves far more credit than some others are giving him.

Was really sick and Dr Sutanto took the time to explain that the best treatment isn't necessarily what I wanted...instead of just giving me the antibiotics I usually get at a walk-in, took the time to explain why they wouldn't work if not properly diagnosed. In the end I recovered like he said I would letting my immune system fight it off.
Similarly, when I was diagnosed with diabetes, he wasn't pushy to start meds and instead worked with me and coordinated various resources like dieticians and exercise to help me control it. I was so worried when Dr Elfiky was retiring but now I feel I'm in good hands!

Dr. Sutanto took over Dr. Elfiky's practice when Dr. E. retired. It was hard to go from Dr. E's careful, concerned, thoughtful bedside manner to Dr. Sutanto's level of self-confident glibness and "unconcern." As a family, we have now (after a lot of stress and concerted effort) found a different G.P. - a young physician in SE Edmonton who embodies the traits we were used to having in our family doctor. Since finding our new G.P. I will be having my first physical since Dr. Elfiky retired several years ago. I wish Dr. Sutanto could understand how it feels to be a patient with a glib, unconcerned doctor. It's not a confidence-inspiring feeling and it led us to seek out a new GP after 25 years. Not our first choice.

I have been seeing Dr.Sutanto for over 1 year now. He is very knowledgeable and kind. His staff is very rude and they seem to be bothered when they are approached!
