Great! I didn't have high expectations after hearing and reading all the negative reviews about ABQ health partners urgent care, but it was the only place open, and near my house. I don't know about the other doctors in this urgent care but she was terrific. Really made me feel like she cared, was listening, like I was her only patient, even though the place had a 3 hour wait. In the end it was worth the wait and she fixed me right up. I hope I never have to go back there, but if I do I'll ask to see her again.

Smarter than any MD I've gone to. To somehow degrade her education or knowledge base is clearly to not know Nurse Practitioner Kabalka. I saw countless "doctors", specialists, traveled to different highly rated groups to be told the pain I was having was "all in my head". Even my husband and friends thought I was crazy. Two visits, that's all it took. She took an hour and a half the first visit reviewing my history and records, the second she started asking more specific questions. The next thing you know she's setting me up for a specialized test nobody ever did, which came back pos, I was taken to surgery, and my offending gallbladder was removed. I don't fit the typical features of someone with a gallbladder issue, but thank god she caught it because after years of suffering I'm now back to my old happy, healthy, pain free self.

Wish she was my primary care. I've seen her twice in urgent care and she has taken time with me, really listens, the most thorough visit I've ever had with any doctor and this was in urgent care.

Dr. Sarah Kabalka has been my primary care for two years, and she's been the best I've ever had. I would say I'm a hard patient. Partly because I'm a Registered Nurse, and have high standards regarding who is providing my care, and partly because I'm considered medically complex. I think it's funny that another reviewer said she was on her computer the entire time, clearly this patient hasn't heard of the EMR system and the need to document accurate information as patient's are reporting it to you. I'm sure she's not on her computer playing Tetras, or browsing the internet. To suggest she was arrogant, clearly this person knows more than she does with all their extensive google, WebMD training. Some people cannot be pleased, ever.
What I have found, and my experience is more like what other reviewers have already said. She is incredibly direct, and more than once has said she does't know something, but will look it up and research it. True to her word she has called me back, sometimes after a few days of her researching the issue. But she always gets back to me. She truly listens to what is being said, and seems to sincerely care. She can run a bit behind which is understandable considering the time she's taken with me, I'm certain she's done the same for others. I don't ever write reviews, but felt compelled to about Dr. Kabalka because I have friends who have told me about their experiences scheduling appointments, and getting seen, being rushed through, and disregarded. This is so different than my experience with my doctor and feel really fortunate that I found her, and feel badly for those who are stuck in other situations.

Very honest and direct. Really listens doesn't judt run in interrupt what your saying throw a prescription at you then run out. They don't make them like this anymore!

I would absolutely recommend Sarah, but I don't think she's taking new patient's which tells you something. She spends more time with me than any other doctor I've ever had. She is amazingly compassionate, friendly, and kind giving me her full attention even though it can be extremely busy. At no point does she make me feel she needs to rush to the next patient or that I might be exaggerating my symptoms (something that seems to be a common occurrence).

I would not recommend Sarah. I had what felt like heart palpitations which she wrote off as anxiety. Yes, i would say I had anxiety after spending 2 days considering going to the ER, but i was out of town so i didn't do so. I have been on PPI for GERD, if one googles protonix and gerd there is plenty of people having this issue. She never attempted to look into it and spent most of the time during the appointment on her laptop. I got the test i was after and confirmed it wasnt my heart, but as far as Sarah goes, just a typical doctor. "take pill for that" and "i am smarter then you are" attitude...

Sarah is an extremely knowledgeable and attentive provider. She really listens, which I haven't found to be very common in healthcare anymore. Previous doctors I have to spit out as much as I can in 5 minutes or less my or times up. She can run behind, but it's hard to complain when she's stayed longer with me than should have in the past when I've needed it. I have a lot of trust in her care. Some of the office staff, and one in particular, can be demeaning, and rude. It's a shame that this kind of practice with two of the best providers in town, if not the country, has support staff that are nothing like them. I'm not sure why they choose to keep her considering her values seem to be in direct conflict with Sarah's. I've just learned to ignore her, or grin and bear it. A necessary inconvenience, or annoyance that has to be dealt with to get to what I want which is excellent, thorough, competent holistic care.

Sarah was great. She took an hour with me during my first appointment which I've never experienced with another doctor. She immediately made me feel safe, and understood. She made a plan, and followed up with me every step on the way. She had a diagnosis within my first visit that had been missed by multiple other doctors. She's been a complete godsend!
