I would recommend Dr. Hantes. I had been in pain for 40 years. I went to a handful of doctors, specialist and got no relief or any help that relieved my pain. I've taken herbs, pain meds throughout my years. Missed work and events due to my pain. I finally found a doctor through research that saved me!!!! I had already given up and just said I'm going to live like this, but my husband urge me to go see a doctor as he didn't want to see me in pain. So, I did and he has been a blessing to me. On the second visit he prescribed me a cream to use daily. And, within 2 days the pain was gone. And, had been gone since.

Dr Hantes took care of my wife before and after her surgery!! I can't say enough about his staff and his practice!! I'd recommend him to anyone I know in the same situation! He changed our family!

I had surgery with Dr. Hantes the 21st of April. I had two surgeries a Hysterectomy and Bladder surgery. The surgery lasted 4 hours. I have not had any pain. I haven’t had to take any pain medication. His office and personnel were so congenial and efficient before my surgery.
It has been a real blessing and rewarding experience to have a professional team like this. I thank my God everyday for leading me to Dr. Hantes when I prayed for Him to help me find the right surgeon.

After an experience with another OB/GYN telling me I did not need to get a mammogram triggered an alert for me. I found Dr. Hantes who said I definitely needed one which is what all of my other doctors, in other states, always scheduled me for. I instantly trusted him.

I had seen been seeing another gynecologist for several years. I had 2 years of abnormal pap smears with high risk HPV but my other doctor kept telling me to not worry about it. At the recommendation of a friend, I saw Dr. Hantes for a second opinion. He actually did a more in depth evaluation with biopsy and I was diagnosed with severe precancer of the cervix about to turn into cancer. I am scheduled for a cone procedure in a few days. Had I not seen Dr. Hantes, I would most likely have cervical cancer very soon. Dr. Hantes probably saved my life.
Dr Hantes is kind, friendly, well mannered, soft spoken, patient, and very enjoyable to see.

Have had over 30 + surgeries see five specialist. I was extremely nervous about my problems and the surgeries to fix it. He went above and beyond to ease my mind, professional, gentle, and thorough. staff is polite, understanding and upbeat. If your a complicated case this is the place to go!

I have been to many gynecologist, but I have never received as poor a well-woman visit as I experienced with Dr. Hantes.

According to the American Congress of OBGYN's, a well-woman visit for women over 40 should consist of the following:
A Patient History that includes:
Reason for visit
Health status: medical/surgical, menstrual, reproductive health
Family medical history
Dietary/nutrition assessment
Physical activity
Use of complementary and alternative medicine
Tobacco, alcohol, other drug use
Pelvic prolapse
Menopausal symptoms
Abuse/neglect
Sexual practices (including vaginal, anal, and oral sex; sexual orientation, number of partners; contraceptive use; exchange sex for drugs or money)
Urinary and fecal incontinence

It should also include a Physical Examination that includes
Height
Weight
Body mass index (BMI)
Blood pressure
Neck: adenopathy, thyroid
Breasts, axillae (yearly clinical breast examination)
Abdomen
Pelvic examination
Additional physical examinations as clinically appropriate

However, Dr. Hantes never asked about my patient history nor that of my family. He did not perform a urinary culture nor did he send out for labs. He did not even give me a breast examination. My well-woman exam consisted of him saying, "Is there anything the matter with you?" And, "Have you ever had an abnormal pap smear." Then he gave me a one swab Pap smear, a 30 second pelvic exam, and called in a prescription for me to the wrong pharmacy. The entire visit with him was probably less ten minutes, though I waited one hour and fifteen minutes to see him.

If you are over 40 and looking for a doctor that you can rely for preventative care and basic monitoring (like cholesterol, calcium, breast health, etc.), so that you'll have something to compare against if you should develop issues, then Dr. Hantes is not the doctor for you.

Regardless of your age or health status, regular gynecologic exams and health screenings are important to detect diseases early, when they are easier to treat or cure. Dr. Hantes will monitor your health and wellness through:
•Well-woman exams
•Pap smears
•Mammograms, bone density screenings & other required screenings


I called the clinic after the fact to see what a well-woman visit involves and they said:
Pap smear
Pelvic exam
Breast Exam
And if you request, they'll send you to get your blood drawn (should you have to request? I've never had a well-woman visit where they didn't do this automatically)


He didn't even give me a breast exam, though the nurse told me to unrobe. Nor did he bother to find out that my mother had breast cancer.

If you are serious about your health, get a doctor who will deliver at least the basic standard of care. This is not Dr. Hantes. I now have to seek a different doctor that actually cares enough to put some effort into the exam and that will help to stay healthy as I age. I can't help but wonder: if this is his basic level of care for when I'm "healthy" how much care would I have received from him if I actually had an issue. I will not see this doctor again, nor would I EVER recommend him to anyone!
