I have been a patient of this doctor for several years. Her professionalism and medical demeanor have vastly declined over the years. She has misdiagnosed my condition of "diverticulitis" as lactose intolerant and told me to go get "Diary Ease" to treat my symptoms. SHE WAS GROSSLY WRONG! (2) She told me that I didn't need a "colonoscopy" after months of pain in my stomach area, and thank God my gastro doc performed the colonoscopy anyway, and found 3 "pre-cancerous polyps"!!! I had my annual with her, I got there early (no problem to wait), I waited for 2 hrs & 20 minutes. They made me wait 20 minutes past my appt time and she had "NO PATIENTS IN FRONT ME"!!! So as I complained to the staff. Once finally in the examining room, Dr. "Blake" accused me of causing a raucous in the waiting room, which I told her I DID NOT, but expressed my anxiety to the staff, as I was waiting now 20 minutes past my appt time and that she was in the office the entire time, with no patients! She then had the nerve to go and get her "Office Manager" so that she could argue against what I was saying, and basically call me a "LIAR"! I was NOT going to argue with her and the Mgr, and got up and dressed and told her I'll NEVER BE BACK!!!! I AM REPORTING HER TODAY, TO MY HEALTHCARE PROVIDER!!!!!!!!! WARNING TO ANYONE RESEARCHING THIS DOCTOR...STAY AWAY!!!!!! SHE IS UNPROFESSIONAL, ARROGANT, COMBATIVE WITH NO BEDSIDE MANNER....WHATSOEVER!!! RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM DR. DOREEN G. BLAKE!!!!!

If you have your yearly physical with a Dr. Blake. You are required to sign a paper; not to ask any quetions in reference to pain or how you feel. You have to make another appointment of you have any health issues; they will not be addressed during your visit.

My experience with this physician is very limited but I found this Doctor's office practices to be unacceptable. I requested a referral by phone and called called repeatedly for a two day period inquiring if it was ready. On the evening of the second day I was told no request was ever made. When trying to contact the office, I was left waiting on hold for long periods. No one came back to the phone with an explanation or an apology. The last time I telephoned the ofiice I was put on hold and after approximately 15 minutes I hung up. I was fed up so I called my insurance company and changed doctors. Additionally, a particular problem for me was that this office does not fax or mail referrals (this policy is posted in plain sight) which complicates life for a person who does not drive and sees many specialists. Just easier to find another provider.
