I made the trip from Canada and it was WELL worth it. He couldn’t be any nicer and was extremely responsive to emails (I think I went overboard with questions and he still got back to me every time). He kept his word - he told me my pain was treatable, and he was right. I struggled for years with pain and I’m pain free for the 1st time. Thank you so much Dr Hunter.

Great experience. Very professional. Thoroughly explained everything in considerably more detail than any other pain doc I have ever seen and I have seen a LOT. His reputation is well deserved and I only wish I found him sooner. 2 nerve blocks and I am literally 90% pain free for the first time in 2 years.

Terrible experience.

Had a DRG stimulator (recommended by him over more conservative options) implanted May 2021. Immediately post surgery Abbott representatives ghosted me.

Stimulator surgery made my pain 50% worse with it off and much worse than that with it on.

Had to schedule through the office for Abbott to actually respond.

At 8 weeks post op, I had my first appointment with the doctor post surgery and expressed my concern at how much worse I was and how non responsive that Abbott had been (had reached out to Abbott twice in that 8 weeks with radio silence each time) and asked him to intervene as that was not consistent with the level of service that was promised pre surgery.

He curtly told me that it wasn't their job to respond to me, there was nothing further he could do for me and never spoke to me again.

The surgery completely disabled me and several months later I had to move back to the midwest to have my parents care for me.

Now I have wires in my spinal cord and a medical device in my body causing even more exorbitant pain than what I started with and no doctor will touch someone else's problem.

Worst decision of my life was letting this man touch my spinal cord and then watch him immediately dismiss me at the first post op.

Once you are no longer a procedural opportunity, he won't have time for you.

His website states he created his practice to honor the compassionate care his father received. Well, somewhere along the line, the desire for dollar signs became the primary motivating factor. Not only is he not compassionate, but he is simply not a good person.

Lived up to his reputation and then some! He was totally as advertised. I only wish I had found him when my pain first started.

Very knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely want to get me off the oxycodone my family doctor got me started on last year. Very glad I found him and very hopeful
