My daughter went to him for the first time. Told she had eight cavities and needed two crowns. He did the work on the eight cavities. Insurance denied two of them saying they were not legitimate cavities. Apparently he redid some bonding that she had asked him to only file down as they were a little uneven. He just replaced them instead and charged us. Put white composite fillings in three back teeth when majority of dentists use silver in back teeth and insurance only covers silver in the back so we have to pay the difference. Told her none of this. Found out she only needs one crown and the other is preventative because her tooth might crack in the future as she has a large filling in it. Needless to say, she won't be going back there to have a crown down. She won't be going back there ever again. If you go there, ask lots of questions and make sure you are knowledgeable as to what they are doing. We learned the hard way.

Dr. Dunlap and his staff are the BEST! We have gone to him for 9 years. I am a bit nervous to get any "work done", but the staff puts you at ease. The office is always clean and inviting. They are also great with kids too! I have a 5 year old who actually enjoys going to the dentist. Barb, the office manager, will help you understand insurance issues and correct any claims that were not properly submitted. I would recommend Dr. Dunlap to anyone!

After several visits, paid top dollar for an appliance which he recommended. The appliance did not solve any of my symptoms. Continued to go back with same complaints. He did not have any answers. I felt as though he was putting me in the "it's all in the mind" category. Went to another dentist for second opinion. The second dentist teaches dentistry. The second opinion was: you were given a totally wrong appliance. I had to pay the second dentist for the correct appliance, which has worked. Because of the multiple appts with Dunlap and the wrong appliance, I am out over $2,000. I am very glad that I found the second dentist, as I am now receiving top dental treatment and actually dreaded seeing Dunlap as he just does not shut up...maybe he likes to hear himself talk, but his non-stop yakking got very annoying very quickly.
