The worst ob/gyn I ever had. Forgot he had put me in hospital at 12am to induce . Was supposed to be in around 630 am to check me and didn't.. Was supposed to at noon because nurse at hospital called and reminded him, he didn't show up.but gave go ahead for epidural . Finally at 6pm he checked up on me.. he didn't do an exam to check or read fetal monitors.. Just glanced ..and said I'd been stuck at 4cm dilation since 10 am and would up my pitocin. My nurse god bless Angie at east ridge hospital because she decided to check me because I hadn't been checked since 10 am by first nurse. She discovered that the fetal monitor was somehow blocking my cervix and upholding dilation.. She moved it and told dr waters (he had another patient there that evening) . After moving the monitor a bit and putting me on my side I was fully dilated and ready to go . Buzzed nurse who got dr waters and again he said I was feeling pressure probably and that I need to give it time. I told nurse as soon as he left room that I had a really bad urge to push and I begged her to please check me and guess what? I was ready to push .. They hurried and got the room ready. Told dr waters and when he showed up 32 minutes later my sons head was in nurses head.. This may be a one off event but it broke my heart . As I also read reviews and chose him because of them. Please read every doctors review and don't be afraid to visit the hospitals and offices and ask pregnant women who they'd recommend. Even asking a nurse who seems to have happiest patients and also asking the ldr nurses at a hospital before you choose doesn't hurt. They'll name off two or three. Also this wasn't my first pregnancy.. My doctor moved to another area and I got online and read the reviews...so please choose wisely.. He may have been the best to some but he really did hurt me emotionally that night and also the nurses were terribly hurt and disappointed in him. Nurse told me just because an obgyn is nice and does a good job in his office ,doesn't mean he is the best when it comes to delivery or bedside manor.. Thank you and best wishes for expectant ladies and families reading all the reviews. Thanks jkw
