I had a terrible experience with this surgeon for a foreign body removal from my hand. I was referred by my family physician, who must hate me and want me to suffer, because my simple removal of foreign body turned into a nightmare. This “doctor” didn’t remove the foreign body from my hand, used the wrong type of stitch to close up and tied it poorly. I returned for stitch removal, and when I returned home I realized he didn’t removal all the stitches. One had broken off into my hand and caused such a severe foreign body reaction that I needed a second surgery to remove all the infected tissue. Getting the second surgery took almost 2 months, while the infection worsened. He refused to admit his errors which could have costed me my hand. To this day, I have residual pain and issues with my hand. During the second infection, I went to two other ERs and I BEGGED other surgeons to help me so I wouldn’t have to go back to this maniac. His medical license should be revoked. Not to mention the wait times at his private clinics and hospitals clinics are ridiculous. It was beginning to end an atrocious experience. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to see this “doctor”.

Dr Hong formed my carpal tunnel surgery was a pure gentleman walked me through any possible pain was very gentle and a complete professional. The surgery was seamless and the incision was perfectly done where there is absolutely no scaring or visibility of any cut.
The staff are also very helpful, and make every attempt to assist where necessary.
I would highly recommend Dr Hong, very pleased and content with overall experience.

I have just had a facelift and bhlebostomy performed by Dr. Hong and am so pleased with the results already.
I have been a patient of his for many years and always have been more than happy with all that he has suggested and with the results.
He is kind and never tries to talk you into any procedure but always equips you with the knowledge that helps form your decision.
Very honest about expectations which also is very helpful.
The staff has also been attentive and very kind.
Yes you may have to wait past your appointment time to see him but the wait time to make an appointment is always very short.
I would recommend Dr. Hong without reservation.

I went to Dr Hong 7yrs ago for breast augmentation and although wait time was long and he did request cash, my procedure and treatment from him and his staff were satisfactory. However, I am in my mid 50’s and thinking of removing my implants due to reading about BII, breast implant illness. I do have a few of the symptoms indicated and worried. I thought to return back to Dr. Hong but after reading all the reviews from 2015 to now, it seems he is no longer the same doctor. Prior to 2015 all his reviews were 4 to 5 stars including my review, however the last 6yrs his reviews are mostly 1 star and everyone has the same and consistent complaints. The money and fame has gotten to him and he has become arrogant, careless, irritable and narcissistic. I will surely not be returning to have him remove my implants. I have lost all trust and respect for him and how he conducts himself professionally. Very disappointed!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Hong for many years.
He has always been patient, kind and answers all my questions and concerns with thoughtful and honest replies.
I am having my second facial surgery with him and have complete faith in his expertise .He takes great care to explain realistic expectations with facial plastic surgery.
He is always busy, and I appreciate that he may appear to be succinct with his answers, but he has always been an excellent doctor in my opinion.
His staff is and has always been delightful .

Absolutely horrible plastic surgeon. 29 years of “experience” and he still doesn’t know what he’s doing. His fees are low not because he’s making plastic surgery affordable for everyone, but because he SUCKS. Got eyelid surgery done by him and they are completely uneven. One has a scar at the end and another one has two creases that should connect but instead don’t. Went to another plastic surgeon and he confirmed that it was done AWFULLY. Also got an alarplasty which every other plastic surgeon knows that permanent sutures need to be put in or it will just go back to its normal shape. He says “all plastic surgeons have their own opinions.” Like really??????

His receptionists are fu*king crap too. Asked for a quote at the end of my consultation and they were dumbfounded that a patient would ask for a quote like that’s the most ridiculous thing in the world. One of them even proceeded to push me when I was leaving because I asked for a dumb quote to which she rudely and condescendingly asked “would you like me to write it down for youuuuuuuu?”

He is a HORRIBLE surgeon with HORRIBLE staff. Somehow this “experienced” surgeon doesn’t know that taking out stitches is not painless and got pissed that I was expressing pain at him removing them and just left after taking HALF the stitches out and I went to another surgeon to have them removed.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SURGEON. Extremely unprofessional and you will NOT get good results. Surprised he even has a 3.5 rating should be closer to a ZERO.

I was referred to Dr. Hong after an infection in my finger showed signs of becoming necrotic. Appointments were scheduled regularly so he could monitor the infection. Further health issues arose (not related) and Dr. Hong took the time to call his colleagues and schedule further appointments to address the new health concerns. Dr. Hong, then called me in the evening to inquire how I was and to ensure that I had met with his colleagues. Dr. Hong consistently demonstrated empathy and compassion at every appointment. He always took his time to ensure that I had no worries or concerns when I left and at the same time kept me as ease by asking me questions to know me, personally. Once the infection resolved, Dr. Hong had to perform a procedure on my finger. He, again, was readily available after the surgery to answer questions about the healing process. Dr. Hong has always demonstrated a genuine concern for my health and well-being and I highly recommend him and his staff.
