I was seeing Breenne Mielke for about two years for annual exams. I went in fall of 2018 for a swollen lymph node and let her know I was experiencing jaw clenching and very high levels of stress. As I explained my anxiety and depression was really bad I started to cry and she said to me “if I could fly around the world and had out magic pills to make everyone’s stress go away I’d be a millionaire” she then went to say that everyone has stress and there was nothing she could do to help me. Feeling dismissed and confused, I left the office and told several people what had happened which prompted me to call the office. When I explained to the office manger what had happened she had Bree call me back where she further berated me. Sobbing over the phone, I asked her if she could understand how saying that to someone with a history of depression and anxiety who has been medicated for 10 years was a very dismissive and unprofessional way to treat a patient. All she would say was “Well I’m sorry YOU feel that way. There’s nothing I can do to help you.” Since this incident I have seen a psychiatrist and two other medical professionals who urged me to write this review in hopes that others experiencing mental health issues might be spared the same fate. I can only guess what might have happened had a suicidal patient approached her and received the same treatment. She should be terminated.
