Dr. Means was my 2nd oncologist. I moved from Alabama, and she came highly recommended by a close friend. When I met her I immediately relaxed, she w as a great listener and helped address all my concerns. She called me back to discuss my labs. I can tell you how good it felt to be appreciated and supported!

Dr. Means Has been my Dad's doctor for lung cancer for 7 years. He is currently cancer free.
She has done a great job taking care of him. She even got him to quit smoking which was no easy task.

She has been my doctor for 2 years. My last doctor said I did not have anymore options for my cancer. She found one. I feel so fortunate.

Strongly recommended I have all lymph nodes removed months after a bilateral mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy with one positive node. It was an early stage breast cancer. Also had 16 rounds of chemo and was back at work. Didn't talk about risks of pain and disability associated with axillary lymph node dissection. . Referred me to a surgeon that also didn't talk about risks when asked. I was scared into a surgery that ruined my life. I haven't been back to work and I'm in extreme burning nerve pain 24/7. I've been told by other doctors this surgery is unheard of with 1 positive node and the surgeon should have known she would hurt me by going back in months later . I'm disabled and isolated. Don't tAke surgical advise from an oncologist.

She has taken care of my husband and has done an excellent job. He has gone from being very fatigued and spending most of his time in bed to being very functional in the treatment of his lymphoma. I feel like I have my husband back and enjoy all the time we are spending together.
