Neither Debra Velez or her staff have any regard for the patients time. Only their time matters. Debra Velez is notoriously late and fails to get lab requests to the appropriate office prior to the patient arriving for the lab work.

I saw Debra Velez for help in building bone health since I can't take the meds for osteoporosis. Everything went well the first two visits - she prescribed bone health supplements - and I felt good about my progress. However, after finishing the supplements, I have called 3 times for another appointment - the receptionist was truly rude and neither she nor Debra ever called me back. I even called to ask for the names of the supplements so I could get more of them and never heard a word!
I am very disappointed and surprised.

Over 6 years I sought many M.D.s re suspected thyroid issues.They ordered the standard TSH ,T4,T3 labs which were normal.I went to see Debra Valez APN who ordered these and other than the usual labs. Her labs clearly showed a picture of what was going on with me chemically. She prescribed 1 cream med, plus a few supplements and some suggestions re lifestyle changes. A year has passed, my chemical system has returned to normal.I appreciate the sense of feeling well again. It seems Debra Valez has a wide general understanding of a humans' chemical makeup,therefore,the multiple unusual labs ordered. Once the labs told me what was wrong,I saw there were many things I had to change in my life style, diet,attitude etc . So, I attribute a return to well being to the knowledge and treatment Debra Valez gave me . Her staff made sure I had everything needed before I left,so appreciated , because I live 100 miles away. On the positive side: She is very knowledgable about her service. But orders too much in labs that I often have to pay out of pocket for after the first time, or the staff is not coding medical correctly. On the Negative side: Always have to wait for her to show up. I'm early or on time, and wait 45 minutes to 2 hours for my appointment. I had to call to cancel another appointment in order to keep this one once. No matter what the excuse, my time is just as important. I brought my spouse once to hopefully add him as a new patient. But after he sat there for 2-1/2 hours (our wait time, and then my hour in there, he said no way.) This tardiness needs to end or patients will go elsewhere.

Ok so call for an appointment and wait 6 months before you can even get one. Fill out paperwork get labs all prior to your appointment. Basically do your side of all the work only to show up for your appointment ( that you left work early to be sure to be there for) to be told....."she is running a little behind today". Ok until you are finally given a real time frame and it will be 2 hours of your time sitting in the waiting room. My time is no more or less important then anyone else's. Be sure if you arrived that late to an appointment you would have been canceled . I had to leave without even getting to see her and was given no help what so ever for rescheduling or anything of the sort. Given the not so gracious attitude of the staff checking people in...non ability to keep an appointment schedule to a reasonable wait time...and the lack of even an honest answer about the wait time along with the your problem not ours attitude. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
