I wish I could give a 5star rating for this DR. The receptionist ruined it! I do not believe that cell phones should be allowed at the desk while working!! I had waited a few minutes at the front desk and she didn't acknowledge me so I decided to go to the bathroom so she could finish on her phone. I think she is the only person lacking in this office! Awesome and very informative nurse and even better DR

I had a midwife with my first pregnancy. Although I had a positive experience, I knew I wanted an OB the second time around. I was fortunate to find Dr. Andrus and the difference I felt in care was immediate. Dr. Andrus was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain every decision along the way to me. It's very clear her number one concern is for the baby and that's what makes her such an outstanding DR. She never made me feel judged by any questions i had, but made sure I had all of the details to make the most informed decisions. She is extremely competent, caring, and very easy to relate to. She is a walking wikipedia of pre and post natal care and I was so blown away by how up to date she was with the most recent research. Thank you Dr Andrus for a wonderful experience!!

Never go to this doctor. She is the most uncaring person I have ever met. I was sent to her because my obgyn was downsizing. Andrus ended up referring me to Hamilton because she didn't have the knowledge to deal with my issues. Two tears later a reoccurring problem happened and when I called her to have her see me as she had my entire file I was told to go back to my family doctor and get a referral to her !!!! And this undiagnosed health issue for which I have had a biopsy done is extremely painful. Worst doctor ever

I had to see dr andrus while my regular OB was out of town, worst experience ever! Did not listen to me or my concerns whatsoever, was generalizing me with other pregnant women, and wasn't as nice as many other OB I have met since I had seen several because I was undergoing fertility treatments and also experienced ectopic pregnancy, if I never see her again that would be too soon

I was referred to Dr. Andrus when I became pregnant with my second child (after a HORRIBLE experience with a midwife during my first pregnancy, don't even get me started.....). Dr. Andrus was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and approachable. She made me feel like I was talking with one of my friends during appointments and never made me feel stupid for asking questions. I'll definitely ask to be referred to her again.

I saw Dr. Andrus for an abnormal pap smear. She said I needed treatment and I was very worried because I was thinking about getting pregnant and had a plan all set out. She was caring helpful and gave me all of my options. She treated me then I got pregnant right away. She was my OB and I loved having her! I was so nervous about the treatment for the pap and she talked me through it and reassured me it would be okay. I am hoping to have another baby in the near future and have Dr. Andrus take care of us again. Thank you so so much! I know how hard you work and I appreciate it.

I have recently been referred to Dr. Cathy Andrus and she is beyond informative, straight to the point and supportive of my medical questions/decision. We in Kitchener are so blessed to have you as one of our own!!!

I never write reviews, but my experience was so fantastic I felt I must communicate that to others. Dr. Andrus has been nothing but amazing to me during what is a difficult, complicated and scary time - she made everything clear and the whole process smooth and a very happy one. I feel so lucky to have her has my OB. She is in Kitchener btw and we are so lucky to have someone like her.

The receptionist is very unfriendly!!
Every appt Dr. Andrus told me something different!! She was gonna induce early because of size of baby, and my narrow pelvis.. The next time she reassures me she wouldn't let me go more then 10 days over! I'm currently 3 days over my due date with baby #3. I had 2 horrible birthing experiences with men OB's the first 2 times, was really hoping to have a great experience with Dr.Andrus and so far I've been quite disappointed. I guess when she's never been through child birth herself, it's hard to understand what your patients are going through.
Very disappointed.

First meeting was for a colposcopy, she was great. Seemed nice, informative and overall I felt comfortable with her. Follow up apt. awful experience. rushed, didn't offer much information, the results were not what I was expecting, I started crying and she was nice enough to hand me a tissue and then said to make an apt to discuss once i've had time to digest everything and left me. The follow up apt she was aggressive and I felt like I was being judged. I know she means well, but she has no finesse. Also the information I did get for her changed, first I was told I would have to wait 3-4 months to try and conceive the second time I saw her she said 6 months. Which was a big part of some of my decisions, because the 4 months was part of the plan I set in place. I felt like a bad person for doing my own research and wanting to be in charge of my health and body. Again she performed a procedure in the office to check some additional things, and this is where she is awesome. I was comfortable, she was gentle, she is really good at what she does proceduraly, that I can tell. But talking with her is not pleasant. other then the first time, I have cried every time I saw her. It wasn't till after talking with my family doctor that I felt better, and they are not a specialist, but at least I had time to talk about all options in detail and she recommended the same thing, but also said it is my decision to make. I think a lot of people would like someone that is very direct the way Dr. Andres is, but for me personally it was just to blunt, I felt like she was trying to scare me to make a decision, instead of listening and talking to me. I felt like an awful person, I felt like I was being judged and I left with more questions then when I came in. In the end I will probably still see her because the procedures she has done on me have been very comfortable, where most people say they are very painful, I take that to be her skill set. Once this situation is resolved though and I move forward with pregnancy in the future I will be seeking a different OBGYN.
