Was back 20 years or so in wickham Terrace. First indication of what was to become functional medicine. I could barely walk. Amazing!! Expensive but worth it is get to the bottom of a situation. I wont go to traditional GP's ever again. Find out why U are sick fix it, (which take dedication) don't just take a pill to treat a symptom.

This man is a magician.. well not really but he certainly has the wealth of knowledge and experience to treat my hormone issues. When I started to see John 14 yrs ago I was in bed for 4 days out of every 7 and struggling big time the other three. A single mother of two boisterous and a business to run. We have worked together over this time to sort out the damage done by my not being diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis at 18 this leaving me struggling until my 40's. I had been to multiple Drs and specialists. I can now lead a relatively full life, one I never thought I would see again. I still have more work to do, now that I am ageing. Yes , you have to be open minded and DO the work to get the results. He is totally realistic about recovery times and explains in depth why things are as they are , and why he suggest what he does. I have moved states multiple times but will not give up this amazing doctor.

If you want to regain your health (and do the work) make an appointment to see Dr Lee. I dread to think how my life would of turned out if I hadn't of been treated by John. When I met John my autoimmune conditions were very active, today I am 90% in remission. You can't put a price on your health and Dr Lee is worth every $$ but as I said you have to do the work.

Doesn't really understand thyroid problems well -- he thinks the research covers it, but it doesn't. He's just a GP making some money. My health and the health of 2 other patients I know suffered with his treatment.

I have been sick since I was 18 and have seen many, many doctors. All to no avail, until I visited John. John treats me for thyroid (Hashimoto's Disease) and Auto immune problems and has done so for the last 15 years. As it happens, the best 15 years of my life. I will never be "normal" but thanks to John, I live my life with as much joy as I can find. The 5 of the 6 Endocrinologist I saw were uninspiring and them saying "Come back when you are really sick" was useless and unhelpful, as I was already very sick. The 6th was good but he charged more than John and wasn't as good.
I am a medical scientist so I understand why the many tests are necessary. But the doctor reading the results needs to understand it. Many doctors don't, just using the analytical labs' guides. John understands what the result means chemically and it's physical effects.
The cost is also mentioned. My 5 mins with other GP's (who failed to help) say cost $70 and my hour with John cost $450, so John's rate is much better when ratio-ed out. On 30 min visits, it's half that. I understand some people can't afford this price, but if you can, do it, as long term you will pay less.
If you are looking for a doctor in a suit (and clean rooms apparently- judgement is a harsh mistress and often leads to poor health) , don't go to him, but if you are looking for help when everyone else has failed, he may be your man (if your illness is his specialty).

I have had hypothyroid since I was 6, needless to say I have tried a lot of different things. Dr. Lee was the first Doctor who was able to put it into prospective and explain to my how the thyroid functions, what I need to do and and also to keep it under control. I have often recommended him to friends as a doctor who will get to the root of the problem. Some have said he is difficult to find but definitely worth it. I always contact him via his mobile number 0417 331 646 and or email doctorlee@tpg.com.au

I have been seeing Dr John Lee for 17 years and he is by far the best thyroid and auto immune Doctor I have seen. He has managed my thyroid problems with superior cutting edge treatment and medications. He is up to date with new treatments and leaves no stone un turned. I have tried other Doctors but in my opinion he is very clever and experienced. I am happy to pay his fee as I believe I am being listened to and treated properly. Plus he’s happy to spend time with you and get to the bottom of complex Health issues.
