This review is in two parts. I take exception with one of Dr. LeClere’s office policies. I sent her a letter detailing my experience. She called me in a timely manner. The outcome was an impasse. In a nutshell, I did not confirm my appointment with her the day before the visit. My appointment was cancelled and I was charged a $35 inconvenience fee. I showed up for the appointment, oblivious to the email and voice mail her office had send me that morning. When I make an appointment I recognize I may be charged an inconvenience fee if I do not show up or fail to provide a timely cancelation. Her policy of cancelling my appointment and charging a fee for failing to confirm a day ahead does not balance the needs of the practice and those of the patient. To be fair the fee was canceled and she is sending me an inconvenience fee though she did not see how I was inconvenienced because I was going to her office anyway. I did lose my annual insurance benefit as this appointment was a few days before Christmas with offices shutting down for the holidays. Based her belief of the necessity for this policy and of the importance of maintaining her principles, I have changed dentists. I felt like a peg filling an appointment space and can easily be replaced by another peg.
Part two of the review is I have been pleased with the dental care I have received from the dentists and her staff. I trust they would provide you with the same care. Kudos especially to the hygienist, Madisen.
