Best pain clinic I've ever been to and I've been to a lot over my life. I recently had brain surgery and Dr. Yu took the time to help and understand.

Dr. Yu is a wonderful Doctor. He is compassionate of your well being and recovery. He explains all procedures, gives you options and will recommend what is best suited for you. What I admire most of Dr. Brooks is his Yu. He won't push you into injections or surgery, but give you real options. I finally have found a doctor that truly cares for his patients. His staff are well trained professionals and will welcome you with smiles, which is such a welcomed change from other clinics i have visited. I am so fortunate that I was referred to Dr. Yu.

Dr. Yu is GREAT! My last doctor did 7 epidural injections on me and none of them helped. Finally my regular doctor sent me to Allied Pain and Spine to see Dr. Yu. Within minutes he pushed on a spot on my hip and I almost jumped to the celling. He said that maybe the pain is coming from there, and he did a quick injection that took like 3 seconds. And now 1 month later I have almost no pain. It was almost like MAGIC! Don't waste your time with other pain doctor that want to keep you doing 100 injections even though they don't work. GO SEE THIS MAN

In my 20 years dealing with chronic pain, I know the difference between a pain doctor who is just going through motions and a pain doctor who truly cares. Instead of putting me through a series of injections, Dr. Yu recommend cognitive therapy, pain psych, alternative treatments, acupuncture, and diet/ exercise. First time I really put together how my mind has changed and how much gaurding I do with my body. Treating patients is an art and Dr. Yu understands that

Dr. Yu Helped me get off the opioids because I don't always like taking pills and they made me drwosey and loopy. He worked with me and didn't treat me like a drug addcit. He treated me like a honest person because I am just tying to get out of pain. He is a good doctor and I recommend him.

I don't know if I could completely express in a post how much Dr. Yu has changed my life, but, I'm sure going to try.
I have been in pain due to lower back injuries from a car accident 15 years ago. It affected everything, from my relationships, to my activity level, to being able to work and to set goals for my life. Going to doctor after doctor to treat my pain caused so much anxiety and pain and cost so much, in terms of money and in terms of quality of life
From our first appointment, Dr. Yu felt different to what I had come to expect from pain management doctors. He was cordial and friendly. He didn’t start off by saying “I am not giving you meds” but instead took the time to listen to me like a person – without judgement. I didn’t feel rushed or that I was hopelessly complicated like I have in the past. I have been his patient for 8 months now and we have made tremendous progress where I thought there wouldn’t be any. Much progress in my pain but also progress in my mental health since I don’t feel anxious or helpful about my pain doctor. I now can plan things and do simple activities with my children, without having to pay for it with a week of pain later. Unless you have truly been in debilitating pain for years, you wouldn’t know what it feels to have it affect every aspect of your life and, yet, be unable to find a doctor who treats you like a real person, with a real problem, who knows a real solution. For those of you who do, who've been in that situation for so long that it doesn't seem like it is even worth it to hope or wish for a solution, call the office and make an appointment. Give this one more doctor a chance. I can’t give him enough of an endorsement.
