Dr. Tom is a kind, compassionate and experienced specialist gynecologist who I highly recommend.

I came to Dr. Tom after a failed attempt at surgery with another practitioner (cancelled on day of surgery). I was very fortunate to see Dr. Tom soon after as I had lost some faith in the process and wasn’t sure if I would have a second attempt at surgery, thinking that perhaps that the universe was telling me that surgery wasn’t the right choice for me. Dr. Tom spent time with me confirming that the surgery – primarily a laparoscopic hysterectomy – was indeed the correct choice for my situation. His kind and compassionate manner gave me confidence in him and I left the first consultation having agreed to a timeframe for the surgery. Dr. Tom was also more than happy to coordinate with a second specialist for another procedure to be undertaken on the same day, which his team coordinated on my behalf. Everything went exceptionally well on the day and I am very happy with my choice. I now believe that the reason the initial surgery didn’t happen was because I wasn’t with the right team and that I was meant to have my surgery with Dr. Tom.

Tom is a one in a million doctor. When I was diagnosed with cervical cancer Tom walked me and my husband through every step with poise and compassion. His years of experience lead him to examine and analyse my particular cancer with unwavering precision. He knew every nuance of my cancer which resulted in the best possible outcome for me. I never felt like a number with Tom but as a woman, a mother and a wife. He understood the fear that came with my diagnosis and always answered every question with supporting evidence and rationale for his opinion. He encouraged me to get second opinions of which I got 3 and I came straight back to Tom after speaking with experts from around the globe. When Tom encouraged me to get other opinions I knew he wasn't arrogant and only wanted the best outcome for me. I can not recommend Tom highly enough. He is truely an incredible doctor and person.

I saw Dr Manolitsas after decades of suffering from the symptoms of severe endometriosis and multiple fibroids. My quality of life became impaired greatly and after years of avoiding hysterectomy it became clear it was the only way to feel better.

Dr Manolitsas explained that in my case, the procedure was not going to be straightforward. I saw Tom three times before I committed to the date for the major surgery. Every time I saw Tom, he was very calm, welcoming and attentive. He always explained things thoroughly and made sure that all my questions were answered. He also ensured that I was well informed of what the procedure entailed and a possibility of certain complications.

I never felt pressured by Tom to make a decision. He allowed me to take time and arrive at the decision to go ahead with the surgery at my own pace. Tom always listened to my concerns and was able to answer them honestly and clearly.

I was extremely nervous just prior to going into the operation theatre. Tom was incredibly kind and supportive in the way he spoke to me and was able to reduce my anxiety just before I was put to sleep. My operation lasted 2.5 hours and was a success. My recovery in the hospital was shorter than predicted. It has now been six weeks since my surgery and I feel very lucky to have had a fantastic specialist as well as human being to look after me. I saw quite a few highly regarded gynecological surgeons over the years, Dr Manolitsas, in my opinion, was the best.

I couldn’t recommend Tom highly enough. He saw me within 2 days of referral and was incredibly warm, calming and caring. I left the initial consultation feeling confident that I was in great hands, and everything that followed proved that was indeed the case. I had surgery the following week, had virtually no pain afterwards and a fantastic outcome. I had my follow up appointment today and cannot thank Tom and his team enough for their expertise and care. I highly recommend him to anyone.

I feel fortunate to have come across Dr Manolitsas early in my need to see a Gynaecologist. I was fortunate enough to have Dr Tom Manolitsas as my gynecologist 10 days ago at Cabrini. I had a left oophrectomy, polypectomy D&C and division of adhesions. I was extremely anxious but knew I was in very capable hands. All went extremely well and I was discharged home the next morning. I can highly recommend Dr Tom Manolitsas as an excellent gynecologist and I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr Tom doesn’t get my vote. I found him dismissive of my questions and somewhat rude. Asking the length of time the surgery will take is a reasonable question and shouldn’t be answered with ‘however long it takes me until I’m finished’. Further questions just seemed to annoy him producing similar condescending responses. I’m sure his surgical skills are top notch but his old school attitude isn’t my style. I left feeling completely disrespected and went elsewhere. There are far more impressive specialist gynaecologists out there.

I was lucky enough to be referred on to Dr Tom. I have just had a Robotically Assisted Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. I found Dr Tom to be very professional and helpful when explaining my procedure. His manner made me feel very relaxed and comfortable and I am so very glad that it was he that carried out my operation. His post operative care was exceptional. Dr Tom and his wonderful team were always there to answer any questions that I had with both pre and post operative procedure. If anyone is looking for a great Gynaecologist then Dr Tom Manolitsas comes highly recommended.

Tom Manolitsas came into our lives when our beautiful daughter became very ill in Canada on a holiday , she was diagnosed with cancer at St Paul’s hospital Vancouver. She was medivac home and straight to Cabrini hospital and Tom took over her care immediately. After chemotherapy and surgery by Tom we are very blessed to have a smiling happy girl. Thank you so much for everything and through your genuine love you showed Bron and your care we have her around us. Bron has cerebral palsy and is a bright vivacious young woman, who is enjoying her life again . Thank you so much from my family and my heart.
