While Dr Nazim appears to be a knowledgeable surgeon, neither him nor his staff show any empathy towards their patients. Dr Nazim offers no other alternative to surgery; it is clear he sees you as nothing but money in his pocket. You are rushed through your appointment, dismissed, and left with countless unanswered questions. Many of my questions were directed to his receptionist staff, who were nothing but vague, unhelpful, and dismissive. There are plenty of capable surgeons out there, if you are looking for one who cares, it is not Dr Nazim.

I recently had my left knee replaced by Dr Nizam after having my right knee replaced by him in 2022. The left knee is coming along nicely. I can walk without crutches after a week. My new left knee appears to be improving at the same rate as my right knee did. My right knee is fantastic and just feels like my original right knee before it started to degenerate. I was told about Dr Nizam by a workmate who had both of his knees replaced by Dr Nizam with excellent results. The pre and post care by Dr Nizam and his staff is excellent and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs this type of surgery.

I have just had my second knee replacement by Dr Nizam in February 2024. I am extremely happy with how everything has gone. As Dr Nizam advised, due to the techniques he uses, my pain has been very manageable leading to a very quick recovery. I was able to walk unaided within hours of surgery. Dr NIZAM was recommended, to me, by a neighbor who had a knee replacement in early 2023. He spoke very highly of Dr NIZAM and my GP had no issues in giving me a referral. I had suffered severe right knee pain for a number of years, and saw Dr NIZAM in October 2023. He indicated that a knee replacement was necessary, and the sooner it was done the better. Dr NIZAM did the replacement at Mulgrave Private Hospital on the 4th December, 2023. I was up and walking about within hours after the procedure, using a walking frame. I was home within a few days and I very quickly moved onto two crutches, then one and now
only use a crutch, or walking stick, when I am outside.
In all my dealings with Dr NIZAM, I found him to be very professional, easy to talk with, and able to explain to me, in layman's terms, what the procedure involved. His staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and quick to answer any concerns I had about my recovery.
His consulting rooms, at Malvern, are in a beautiful old house, that had a friendly, relaxing atmosphere about it. I would highly recommend Dr NIZAM to anyone requiring a knee replacement.

Dr Nizam preformed a total Knee Replacement. I cannot recommend him more highly. I no longer have pain; my scar is minimal and I can't thank him enough. His use of the Move Up app has been fantastic. The app has information, exercises and opportunities to ask questions and get feedback. It is part of the total package that is part of Dr Nizam's patient care. I absolutely recommend Dr Nazim. He is an outstanding surgeon.

Hi I'm Susan Hanbury from Wollongong NSW. Dr Nizam made me feel comfortable and well informed regarding my knee ..I had a replacement on 19th Nov at Mulgrave Private and I felt so good after surgery. The nurses were amazing. Dr Nizam was impressed with my recovery at my first post appointment. I felt so good and was walking limp and pain free and the physio was great. I would definitely recommend Dr Nizam to any future patients. He really is a great surgeon.

Surgery - Total Knee Replacement of the right knee, six weeks ago. I've had no pain since surgery. Recovery is well ahead of schedule. At the first review Dr Nizam was happy with the progress. 120 degree flex, no pain, walk without aids, drive, jog all good. Thank you Dr Nizam great work. I highly recommend Dr Nizam.

My mother underwent an operation by Ikram Nizam 6 years ago for a hip replacement and is still suffering 24/7 to this day. His attitude to the complications was one of denial. It was another doctor and my father that picked up the life threatening nature of one of several adverse surgery complications. He treated my mother horribly and denied any part of the surgical complications. Not a caring doctor. We feel manipulated and disregarded by his deliberate avoidance of responsibility and accountability. My mother’s life was at risk. She’s still in chronic pain. This isn’t okay…

I had a Left Bikini Hip Replacement 4 weeks ago and apart from some muscle soreness that I'm sure will improve with some time the whole experience and relief from 12 months of pain has been excellent, Thank you Dr Nizam and team.
