I have been seeing Dr. Inamdar for two years now and I feel so lucky to have him as my doctor. He and his staff are so kind, empathetic, funny and friendly. He was the only doctor who could figure out what was going on with me and can help treat my pain without narcotics. He actually understands all types of pain and doesn’t just brush you off or push pills. I see him weekly for nerve blocks which have been the only thing that help my headaches. No amount of oral medication could touch this pain. I also started Botox treatments for trigeminal neuralgia and it has been life changing. Dr. Inamdar got me in quickly for 3 CT scans over the years to make sure I didn’t have anything else going on. I knew I was in good hands when he called me at home on a weekend to chat before we met for the first time. Jami and Victoria are so wonderful and provide incredible physical and emotional support. Dr. Inamdar treats me like a human being, not just a bunch of symptoms. He actually cares to get to know you as a person. Wonderful sense of humour, such a relaxing atmosphere. For the first time in my life I’m no longer anxious before/during doctor appointments because I know he will listen to me, fight for me, I won’t be belittled and put down. We need more doctors like him who understand pain!

Kind. Caring. Thorough. I have had headaches for years and have seen multiple neurologists. I have tried virtually every medication under the sun. He was the first to finally give me some relief. Thanks for giving me my life back!

I hit the medical lottery when I met Dr. Inamdar. I had been on 3 different types of narcotic painkillers for years to help me deal with chronic pain from an inherited condition. It caused problems in my personal relationships, as well as with my employer. I had to visit my family doctor at least 2-3 times per week, and this went on for almost 2 decades! I felt guilty for being such a drain on the system, even though my family doctor tried every method he knew of. But receiving the non-narcotic blockers injected regularly virtually saved my life. I was able stop the narcotic regime in about 6 months and I see my family doctor every 2 months now, instead of twice a week! I can make plans and stick to them. Because I am happier and healthier now I exercise and eat healthier meals, which has lead to a 40 pound weight loss. (Bonus!) He is a fantastic individual, and he and his staff treat me like family. I honestly do not know where I’d be without him and the Pain Care Clinic.

The first time I spoke to Dr. Inamdar I knew I was in good hands. He called me on a Sunday night to do a consult on the phone, and he spent 1 1/2 hrs on the phone with me. Who does that nowadays?? I have a complicated medical history, and I have been shuffled from one hospital, specialist, or pain center to the other. I was seen at one of the big pain clinics downtown, and they were not able to help me. I had pretty well given up until I saw Dr. Inamdar. He reviewed my scans and all my specialist notes. He asked me about my pain and provided me with so much advice and teaching. I learned more from him than I have from every other specialist I've seen in the last 10 years. He ordered some blood work and imaging. After getting the results, he said my HLA B27 was elevated and said I might have ankylosing spondylitis. He referred me to a rheumatologist who agreed with the diagnosis. She started me on immune therapy while he continued to manage my pain. Between his treatments and hers, I feel better than I havev felt in years. Why did I have to see so many people before getting diagnosed? I can't thank Dr. Inamdar enough. He has given me my life back!

Dr. Inamdar is an incredibly kind, gentle and empathetic doctor for someone dealing day to day with patients’ chronic pain. Our Canadian health care system supports us in many ways, but giving us access to doctors such as Dr. Inamdar to help manage pain, improve our quality of life, our sanity and day to day abilities at no cost is a blessing. He operates efficiently but gives you the time to listen and care every time, and he is one of the few doctors in my experience who is on top of his schedule. He has helped me manage my physical pain with nerve block injections, cortisone, and his supportive and caring bedside manner. I would honestly recommend him even if the nerve blocks didn’t help!

My journey with chronic pain began in 2006 when I fell down a set of icy concrete stairs and broke my back. After years of my family physician managing my pain as well as adjunctive physiotherapy I wanted to have a pain specialist assess my case and perhaps offer different strategies. Dr Inamdar has changed my life. He also saw me through a herniated C spine disk and moderate-severe stenosis in my C-Spine. My quality of life has drastically improved because of his care, his nursing team, admin staff and pharmacist. Being a healthcare professional myself I was concerned about the stigma that can happen with patients in chronic pain. He helped me understand the mechanisms of my pain. I would highly recommend his care. To the Ministry of Health: Pain management practices make a significant difference in people’s lives so that we can continue to thrive, to continue to work, to get relief and most importantly improve the overall quality of life.

A year ago, I started my treatment of nerve block injections with Dr. Inamdar to treat problems in my back, neck, and wrists and thanks to this treatment I have gradually managed to recover my mobility in those areas and my pain and discomfort have decreased substantially. I have also regained my trust and can now carry out daily activities that were previously extremely difficult or impossible for me. Previously I had tried paramedical treatments and the results were not satisfactory and nothing has relieved me as much as the treatment of injections with Dr. Inamdar, this program has become an integral and necessary part of my life to be able to move forward. In addition, the team working with the doctor is extremely professional and efficient and are always attentive to any need.

Several years ago I suffered 5 fractured vertabra. This caused chronic pain and stenosis. In February 2020 the pain and spasms in my back became severe to the point I could only walk very short distances before doubling over to try to relieve the pain. I was referred to Dr Imandar at the pain clinic. After doing a thorough history, injections to relieve the pain were recommended. Although I was sceptical, I did not want to have to continue with medication and the prospect of being dependent on it. Weekly visits to Dr Imandar at the pain clinic for injections very quickly relieved the pain I was experiencing to the point that I have been able to increase the time between visits and live virtually pain free. I am now able to live a very normal life, pick up my granddaughter, and sew. I am looking forward to being able to travel again without worrying about long flights or car trips. Dr Inamdar is very knowledgeable and caring. Without this treatment, my life would be much different and less positive.

I was referred to Dr. Inamdar last June (2020). At the time, I had been in a lot of pain for years and something more recent had happened in Feb of 2020 causing debilitating nerve pain down my arm and into my index finger and thumb. I was on strong pain medication which was difficult to function on. Dr. Inamdar and his staff were amazing right from day 1. They were all so kind and compassionate. I felt such a sigh of relief and felt that I was in good hands. Over the course of the next few months, I received injections for my pain while at the same time trying to get answers. Dr. Inamdar also referred me to a specialist that could help some parts of my pain and would last longer than a week. I am still going to the Pain Clinic each week for injections which have helped me so much. Firstly, the pain has decreased enough to function!! I couldn't even touch my index finger to a cotton swab t was so sensitive and painful. Today, I am typing again and teaching my fitness classes again which I was not able to prior to seeing Dr. Inamdar, I also got off of all the strong pain medication and have a much clearer head to function with. We still have a ways to go I believe, but the progress we have made in 7 months has been more helpful than anything I have tried in the past 5 years!! Dr. Inamdar cares very much about helping people get rid of their pain. I cried on my first visit out of relief that someone cared and noticed how much pain I was dealing with and wanted to help me right away! I would be lost with out this clinic and Dr. Inamdar. His team is amazing and I am so grateful to be there. This is 100% the best way to treat chronic pain sufferers. We are a special breed and I don't think anyone wants to spend their life on medications that make them unable to function. Also, because I am self employed, I do not have a drug plan and medications can get expensive. The injections are covered and my head is clear. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me and the way they treat me every time I walk in.
