Terrible doctor, he ought to be removed from practice. This doctor is a joke

Dr. Vakil provided exceptional care for myself, husband and two boys for years and years in Calgary. He was the best doctor we have ever had. We we very lucky to have him. While we were sad to see him move, we wish him the very best in his new home.

Best Doctor I have had.
The review below seems to be the exact opposite experience I have had. I have looked into any malpractice complaints and there are none as per his college.
He has been a fantastic listener, support, and has helped with my health.
I feel truly lucky and would recommend to anyone

Recently moved to Kitchener ON. New to SKFM.
I received poor treatment when I mentioned about my allergic reaction to medicine that was prescribed. I experienced discrimination and retaliation from the doctor.
When I told them about their inability of fix the reception and outrageous behaviour towards patients. After endlessly waiting to get hold of the doctor, I was told by the receptionist the doctor has decided to end his relationship.
This doctor is involved in some malpractice and misguides patients. He gets mad if you ask about the medication being prescribed. Extremely unprofessional and decides to remove patients without any formal procedures and unable to follow directions by college of physicians.
Needs training on respecting patients and protecting their privacy. Abandoning patients when they raise their concerns about this clinic seems to be their standard practice.
Avoid SKFM clinic and this doctor and save yourself from waste of time, mental anguish and torture or harassment.

Dr. Vakil was our family doctor in Calgary until he moved to Ontario. He is the nicest, kindest doctor ever. Everything the other people said about him is absolutely true - listens, advises, makes a plan - I so wish he had not left Calgary. I'm sure he will be sorely missed by everyone he helped. We miss you Dr. Vakil.

Dr Vakil was our family doctor until he left Calgary, we will miss him. We picked him as our family doctor partly because he studied medicine in London, UK. Turned out he is a very friendly person, up-to-date as a physician, and humble as a listener.

He is an amazing doctor. He’s thorough & listens to all my concerns. He finds things others have missed. When he moved from the city I live in to a nearby city I continue to see him. He’s worth the trip!

Dr. Vakil is incredible. I have never felt like my concerns have been so well validated and addressed y a doctor. He truly takes the time to listen and work with you to come up with a plan of care. He also admits when he doesn't know something and takes the time to look it up while you are there with him. I stumbled upon him looking for a family doctor in calgary and was a little skeptical because I assumed that all the best doctor would be too full to admit new patients. I was totally wrong. Honesty the best doctor I have ever gone to :)

Doctor VAkil is the best doctor I have ever had. He listens, tells you lots about what he thinks and what the plan of action is, and never keeps me waiting. Now my wife and Mother in law go to him as well. I cant say enough about him. You will not be disappointed if you visit him.
