Patient of doctor for over 10 years. Presented with dramatic weight loss (15kg) and excessively high blood glucose / uncontrollable diabetes when formerly diabetes was well managed. Failed to diagnose or at least test/scan for pancreatic cancer. Leading to patient presenting with stage 4 cancer with weeks to live. Noting DR Chipps is Primary point of care for endocrine related cancers at Westmead hospital.

Specialist for diabetes type 2. Missed vital warning signs of pancreatic cancer. Poor interpersonal skills/ Condescending when asking for advice .

David Chipps seems to brush off problems I have to my GP, he was quick to get me out and not help me.

I was referred to see Dr Chipps for an endocrine problem suspected to be causing my hypertenstion He was most thorough kind caring and knowledgable . Only through his expert management I was finally reassured of a clean bill of health free from unnecessary concerns and anxiety

Dr chipps was a great specialist with diagnosing my hypopituitarism,already treating my type 1 diabetes was very informative with every question and there was many,highly recommend specialist. :)

Wrong diagnosis. Medication given for disease I didnt have mafe me very ill. When I called for advice he returned my call 3 weeks later by which time my GP had taken me off that medication. Diagnosis was reversed or over-ruled by a professor endocrinologist a few weeks later.
