Dr Cossin treated me for over 20 years until I moved out of the Springfield area. I have had a challenging medical history, and Dr C has never once been wrong in his diagnoses. He is whip smart, loves to solve problems and always a gentleman. A first rate physician in every way.

He has never once been on time for an appointment. Often when I go in for an issue I am just referred to a specialist, which actually I would prefer to begin with because I feel that they are more knowledgeable in their field of interest. During my appointments I often feel rushed and that he doesn't actually listen to me. One time he actually had me come into an appointment just to tell me that he wasn't comfortable prescribing a medication to me that was recommended by one of his staff members and that I needed to go to a specialist. That is something that could have easily been relayed on the phone instead of me having to take time off from work and pay a co-pay for that. On top of that all he did was give me a number to the Dr he referred me to, and didn't have the staff schedule it. Well it turned out to be the wrong number, whose ever number it was very helpful in finding out the correct number for me. And then it turns out that Dr was not even accepting patients.

I feel Dr Cossin & I have awonderful working relationship. I am very opinionated as far as my treatment and he respects me and includes my thoughts as to how we treat different things I have had to deal with over the years. Although there are often disagreements as to how to procede, de does no discount my opinion and often we compromise. The only time he really insists on his way is when my stubbornness has put my health in jeapordy. He does not recommend antibiotics unless necessary, which is my point of view as well. I have received excellent care from him for the last 20 some years and would recommend him to anyone as an excellent primary care doctor.

Dr. is also my fathers doctor. So his knowledge of our family history is very valuiable. Very helpful when I have a question.

As in any practice, as the day goes on, the practioner may get behind because of complicated issues that are umplanned for. He has never been but a few minutes "late" for my scheduled appt. A primary doctor is just that. He sorts it out. If I have had a serious issue he refers me to a spe cialist. Dr. Cossin has treated my "everyday" illnesses successfully and without fuss. I feel he can be counted on to give the right advice and feel lucky to have him .

Dr. Cossin has been on time to my appointmemt rarely in the many times I've had an appointment with him. Fot yhis reason alone I am currently looking for another general practitioner. I am always in his outer office at least 20 minutes prior to my appointment, in the inner office on time, the thing that bothers me most is when confronted with the fact he's late he often lies, saying he wasn't in the building, when I can hear him sometimes talking to another patient, doctor or nurse.
