Dr. Thau has been my physician for approximately 25 years. He is knowledgable, kind and attentive. The only downside is that he works in a large group, where he is kind of pushed to keep appts at their 15min length. It has been my experience, however, that if something is going on, he will take the extra time to figure it out. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs a PCP. I also have thyroid issues, and he is a board-certified endocrinologist. That man literally saved my life when I was a kid and no one else wanted to believe I was actually extremely sick. I dread the day he retires.

If you ever been to RiverBend Medical Group, you know how much pressure they put on their doctors. In fact, my own doctor, Dr. Lapenas quit because he couldn't give his customers the care they needed. They push doctors to work quickly, A maximum of 15 minutes and see the next person. But Doctor Thau is truly a human being who cares. He's extremely knowledgeable. I had a rash on my thigh which couldn't be fixed. One doctor (at same place said, I had poison ivy, another said something else, but when Dr Thau came back from vacation, he said, "pustules, you need anti-biotics. It cleared up. He also gave me Family Medical Leave which he signed when my own Psychiatrist refused to sign it, not because I didn't need it, but because the BCBS wouldn't pay him for it. That says it all, what kind of guy he is.

Dr. Thau has been my physician for over 20 years. He has always been very caring, responsive, and available for me. I have a great deal of respect and admiration for him.

I've had Dr. Thau for many years... he is a wonderful doctor. A little rushed at times, but he's in a large group (Riverbend Medical Group) and I think they push their docs to see a certain # of people in a day. But, if you have something that needs a little extra attention, it's been my experience that he will make sure he addresses things before dismissing you.
