I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. The doctor attempted to bully me into a complete hysterectomy - in 3 weeks time. I got 2nd and 3rd opinions - both said that I had other options and that there was no hurry to make a decision about treatment. When I brought my husband to a follow-up appointment, so that he could help me remember what she said and ask his own questions, she greeted us with, "I see you brought re-enforecements" - as if she had decided that we were at war, since I didn't blindly follow her decision for a hysterectomy. I never had the surgery, opting for UFE 15 months after diagnosis. It worked very well. Also, at the time of diagnosis, I had a UTI. I told her that I thought that I had one, and attempted to tell her about the bubble bath that caused it at that appointment and the next. Both times she interrupted me and told me, "you got it because of the fibroid". Antibiotics did eliminate the UTI, and it didn't return during the 15 months I lived with the fibroids.

Dr. Lisa is wonderful. She is very knowledgable and helpful. She made me feel very comfortable when I was pregnant. Her and her staff felt like family through all my visits. Who wouldnt like having a doctor who wears glitter!!!

Dr. Lisa delivered my daughter in 1985, my son in 1988, and performed two surgeries on me in the past five years. She has always had the best bedside manners, answered my questions, and never rushed me in and out. She has been my doctor for 22 years and I am so thankful my insurance continues to cover my appointments with her. I don't care if she is running late with my appointment because I know she will give me the additional time I may need if I have aquestion or concern, or perhaps, she is checking on a patient downstairs.

She delivered my daughter, but now that I am no longer pregnant I haven't seen her since the post partum check up and I have been in her office. It seems to me that as soon as you're not pregnant anymore you get shoved off to the nurse practioner.

Dr. Lisa is a very cold doctor. When she comes in the office - it depends on her mood. She delivered both my children, but I think it was because I liked her staff. She will only interact with you if you are in the room. If she sees you waiting she will not acknowledge or even smile. That got old so after 8 years - I have moved on to someone who treats me better than just a number.
