Worst doctor ever, doesn't even bother to look at the patients issues. These type of doctors should be banned

Dr. Huma is my family doctor for the last 8 years and she is the best doctor.

I found Dr Ul Haq by fluke when my first child was born and I’ve been thanking my lucky stars ever since. She has taken on my husband and me, plus both our kids, and is always there when we need her.
She doesn’t over-prescribe but is open to ideas and listening to what you’ve tried in the past, and has a wide range of knowledge and expertise.
Most importantly - when we need her, we can usually get an appointment within a day or two - completely unheard of nowadays.

I have no idea what the other reviews could possibly be about, but they can’t be about Dr. Ul Haq. Not from our decade of experience with her, anyway.

I had been with Dr. Ul Haq for years. I registered with her in university and barely ever went because I was young, dumb, and mostly healthy. As I’ve gotten older and started having some health issues, I’ve noticed how terrible a doctor she is. You make an appointment and you’ll still wait 10-15 in the lobby, another 15 minutes in the room, and then when she finally comes in… she has you out within 2 minutes. If you try to tell her your symptoms, she’ll cut you off and doesn’t fully listen. You’d expect a doctor to want to know all of the symptoms in case one stood out, but nope. There is no sincerity or care in her demeanour or voice. She gives a simple “how are you?” When she enters the room, but the second you start talking she’ll immediately cut into “what can I help you with?” and then she’ll stare at her computer screen the entire time. If you have questions about a finding, or have any concerns with results she becomes argumentative and shuts you down. She dropped me as a patient because I asked questions about some tests. Her response was “that’s just how it is” and I was just curious when the testing changed from the past. She accused me of breaking her trust, and dropped me. Her assistant isn’t great either. She makes constant mistakes. She’s given me the wrong information over the phone, booked me for appointments when Ul Haq wasn’t actually in, and has failed to pass along information several times. The only reason I tolerated her so long was because she USED to just give me the tests I wanted. If I said “I want this med” she’d give it to me. If I said “I want this ultrasound” she’d book it for me. But she stopped doing that in the last 6 months or so. She also has an agreement that I could only go to doctors within her group… but almost none are in Guelph or available. So her option is her after hour clinic if she’s not available, which has the absolute worst hours ever, and is first come first serve. And if you ever go to a different doctor or a clinic, she threatens to drop you. I was only recently told by a clinic doctor that the meds I’ve been on for almost 2 years were only ever suppose to be a 3 month thing before I was tapered off. She never told me that, and just kept prescribing more and more.

I would highly recommend against ever registering with this doctor. I’m not certain she knows what she’s doing, and she’s not pleasant to work with whatsoever.

This doctor was so bad that I deregistered and went without a family doctor for years until someone else took me on as a patient. She is very inconsiderate, pays zero attention to you and doesn’t look away from her computer. There is no point in booking an appointment because you have to wait regardless. Also very questionable about her ability to diagnose correctly, I don’t think she knows what she is doing. Do not register with her.

Very very uncaring and dismissive. Has yet to speak to me with the results of my XRay. Just sends out prescriptions to shut the patient up.

I've been going to Dr Ul Haq for many years. She isnt shy to ask for specialist if need be. I love her bloodwork check ups every few years. I can get an appt quite quickly which I love. I prefer a non emotional doctor who has the ability to be calm and straight forward.

Dr. Ul Haq definitely wasn't the right Dr for me. She is efficient, and decides in treatment quickly. However, often didn't explain 'why' of a tratment, or possible side effects.

Dr. Ul Haq was very open to referring to a specialist, at the cost of not addressing something herself. She treated one issue at a time, which left me to manage multiple health issues, and how they affect each other, on my own.

Lastly, I found it absurd and unneccesary that every time I had bloodwork ordered by my specialist the office would call me to let me know one of my results were abnormal and ask if am I seeking treatment for this. YES. My specialist who ordered the test IS a doctor for that abnormal bloodwork result. Those phone calls were definitely a waste of everyone's time.

0 star Doctor. This doctor doesn't deserve to be called a doctor. A doctor swears an oath to do no harm. She obviously has broken that oath many times. She genuinely DOES NOT CARE for her patients. I honestly feel like you could have a heart attack in front of her and all she would do is walk over your body to see her next patient. She is in this profession for money and nothing else. I have been in her "care" for way too long. She has prescribed me medication I have a known allergy to and it landed me in the hospital with a reaction. She is the worst doctor ever and I can see now with my new doctor how doctors are actually supposed to treat you.

Dr. Ul Haq has been my doctor for years and I travel from very far to see her.

Surprised to see all these negative reviews. Yes, she can be serious because she's a professional! (and can we stop telling women to smile more?) Definitely is less open to alternative medicine, follows medical guidelines to a t. She listens to the concern and provides a solution. And yes, her visits can be short because she doesn't waste time. She's a doctor not your therapist.

Great medical team, never had a negative experience.

I feel lucky that she's my doctor because I know I'm in good hands.
