I left a glowing review years ago but actually... I have changed my mind. Dr O'Daly is quite charming and friendly so I felt validated and welcome. However, he's quite disengaged. He is a little too willing to prescribe addictive meds to people when he really shouldn't. The lateness didn't used to be so bad, but over time it got so much worse. It got to the point where I was in hospital and needed to talk to him and just wouldn't see him for a week ore more. I felt trapped and forgotten, especially with other drs visiting their patients regularly and on a schedule. I recommended Dr Odaly to someone I care about because of their issues. All I can say about that is I deeply regret it and will never recommend him to anyone again. If Dr O'Daly cares, then he isn't doing a great job. But to me, it seems like perhaps he just..doesn't care. He just wants to talk about what he wants to talk about rather than treat his patients. He'd make a better philosophy lecturer than he does a psychiatrist, and I think he'd enjoy it more too.

Horrible experience with him as both inpatient and outpatient. Prescribed me meds that cause horrible side effects (weight gain and addiction). Didn't listen to me. Had a planned admission at Perth Clinic under him over Christmas as it was during COVID and first time away from family and he shipped me off to a public unit and dropped me at the same time without telling me. Also always late and unreliable.

This doctor has been a complete waste of time & money over many years for someone I know. He is arrogant, totally disrespectful when it comes to time, talks a lot about himself and his philosophies instead of listening to his patient and working with them to improve their lives and seems to have no real interest or duty of care when it comes to dishing out medicines. He does far too much - always flitting here & there - and I can't imagine that he is ever able to give his full attention to any of it. It seems he would rather be liked by his patient & have a chummy relationship than to provide a professional therapeutic service.

I am quite astounded by some of the negative comments here. When I first met Kevin I was in the depths of despair, however after being under his care now for about 4 years I am in a better space than ever. He literary saved me from ruining my life and potential suicide. Sure his punctuality isn't great, but I would rather he runs overtime with his patients than run a production line. Despite some concerns here about his hospital care, I found the opposite. Was always there for me. Even gave my wife his mobile number so she could call him at anytime if needed. I can guarantee he most likely works far harder than most here. I have even cautioned him about the demanding hours he works. I thank my lucky stars that I was fortunate enough to be referred to Kevin. Takes the time to understand the issues and subtlety guides you through a process where you own the tools to manage your issues; not in school bookish or lecturing way.

The should be a no star for punctuality

He is very polarising I know he helps people but equally he's spineless when it comes to telling the truth and helping patients when it doesn't suit him . Hess good at what he does until he actually has to do some work that he doesn't want to do and then he is a spineless snake who ignores his duty of care and he has hurt enough people that he has a reputation as an over prescribing , self indulgent ass as well as a saviour

Look up the words communal narcist, honestly just keep this guy sweet and don't up
set him and remember these words " Kev is always right " you SHOULD come away a happy human
