Dr Colvin is a great surgeon and knows his craft very well. His staff is helpful and responsive. He and his team were outstanding. I would definitely recommend him.

In a word, Brilliant! Having had 3 arthroscopy surgeries on my right knee with less than wonderful results, I was very reluctant to go down that path again when my other knee sustained 2 meniscal tears 4 months ago. Having tried to fix the problem through regular Pilates and physio, things went from bad to worse and so it was, Dr Colvin was recommended to me. Everything about this experience has surpassed my expectations. Dr Colvin was very easy to speak with, he explained my options and made me feel comfortable about my decision to go ahead with surgery notwithstanding my previous experience. The best thing that has happened is that 5 days post surgery I cannot believe how great my knee feels. I have been following the comprehensive rehab program Dr Colvin suggests you follow and it seems to be helping my knee progress along very well. I can not recommend this guy highly enough and dearly wish I had known him 10 years ago when I first encountered knee problems.

Recently had rotator cuff surgery for a tendon tear and bicep.
I did a lot of research to find Dr Colvin and asked a number of people. Reviews I find are important as those give perceptions of the clients.
After initial consultation the op was booked in for a couple of weeks later at St John of God. Had to wait for nearly 2 hours for check in but then it was my turn and from check in to op table was less than 10 mins !!!
Left hospital after 1 night and recovery has been slow I feel ( 3 weeks now ). Should never have underestimated time to recovery
1 weeks after op i had a few days of extreme blood pressure but now recovering slowly from that.
Dr Colvin is informative professional and felt comfortable with his style and approach. The website is great and one you can constantly refer back to. His staff are helpful and certainly both my wife and myself had need to contact them a number of times
2 minor issues for me which may help
Check in procedures at St J o G need to be reviewed. Arrived at 7-30 but not processed until 9-15...apparently they do all the 1's and 2's ( surgery order ) and I was no 3's
Secondly the visit of the physio is great on Day 1 but its a lot to take in especially as you are on drugs....I checked back with the physio after Day 3 as I felt I was not using the sling or exercises correctly. Maybe advising that to clients would help

Dr. Colvin did successful reconstructive surgery on my knee. I found him to be extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. He is a very skilled surgeon and I recommend him without hesitation.
