This doctor was very understanding of my situation. He carefully diagnosed me, considered my family history, and explained the process to both my wife and me. He was very transparent with the post operation process, and I found him to be very honest. My operation was a total removal of my prostate and hernia. My recover was very quick with no complications and find myself feeling like a 25-year-old again even though I am 73 years of age. I would highly recommend Dr Stricker to anyone thinking of these procedures. He is the best in the business. Thank you Dr Striker from Jeff and Pam.

Gold star fees and frankly arrogant never thinking that he could make a mistake in my case surgery went to plan then a serious infection which he would not acknowledge I suffered a lot of pain and required airlifting from overseas where I was finally diagnosed with a major infection which took 6 weeks to resolve would struggle to reccomend this highly regarded doctor it’s not about the mistake it’s about accepting a mistake was made I was basically immobilised for months with little acknowledgement was even sent to a neurologist but it was an infection that is associated with robotic surgery

Highly recommended. I went to Prof Stricker based on the recommendations of 2 friends. This is a world-class surgeon at the top of his game, who also runs research programs through St Vincents & other hospitals. There's plenty of informative videos by him on YouTube. He does no other urology than prostate & has dedicated his career to his skills, research to benefit the profession, & passing his skills on to others. You can't get more focused than that.

While he can be brusque - like almost every specialist - I liked that aspect, the no BS, fact based approach. He has over 2,600 robot procedures done, the second highest number in Asia Pacific. I didn't need a doctor to hug me or say "poor you", I wanted to get on with it. My procedure went really well & fully continent 2 weeks after, with a positive margin of 1% (ie really good) . His specialist nurse Jayne does pre & post care & is warm & brilliant, having seen over 7,000 patients. His specialist physio has seen the same. The 3 work together on pre & post op, so it's not just surgery you're getting.

His fees might be high (note 2 other urologists I went to quoted the same consultation fees), but you want experience & knowledge. It's an investment in your future health. Stricker was the 3rd urologist I went to. I found Stricker quite fun when he's not on his prostate topic.

It's also helpful to realise you're not the only person on the planet nor are you unique. The health system is a well oiled machine that treats dozens of patients a day with the same problem you have. Get your ego out of the way & get on with it. And bekind to the nurses in the hospital.

My experience is completely the opposite of the reviewer below of August 24, 2022.

This doctor is not only arrogant he inflates the number of patients he’s operated on. He hard sells you and he has little to not respect for people who cannot afford his services and makes you aware of that. I have never met a doctor with so little respect for others with such questionable character. If I could do it again, I would not want someone like that to operate on me let alone take into consideration my post op needs. Once he’s operated on you and collected his fees he will leave and say he’s busy at a conference.

Professional, knowledgeable, personable and empathetic are all words that describe professor Stricker. We met with him as a second option and from the first meeting we felt comfortable and at peace with our decision which was made easier with his knowledge and his personable and friendly approach. A true gentleman with a very caring nature we can recommend him to anyone seeking advise, surgery etc for prostate cancer

After full research and talking to medical professionals my wife and i decided to engage with Dr. Stricker. A decision i now am extremely happy with. The team he gathered during and after my operation is simply the best in approach and professionalism. Jayne Matthews, Stuart Doorbar-Baptist, Campbell Brown and the Nursing staff were amazing, helping with my recovery since my operation on Tuesday 15th June 2021. Highly recommend Dr. Stricker backed by the above team he leads. I am a small income earner, however, do Not put a monetary value on your wellbeing, health, happiness and quality of life is key!!!! A massive thank you for the work you have put in, into getting me up and going. Please continue with the amazing work and research you are doing. Robotic Surgery is the way to go as the results are clear for all to see!!! Thanks once again. Daniel Cassie.

Outstanding surgeon but he makes sure you know it. Can’t understand why he shows such little humility. If he really is that confident about how good he is, why does he have to sell himself to me. That all said, I was happy with his care and expertise although I would be pleased to see him respect my time when he running late by apologising fir running late. Warning - he is very very expensive

He was running late for my appointment and made no effort to apologise for that. Costs of his surgery were just huge but I was too embarrassed to query them. I simply would not be able to afford them without selling my car or some other possession. I am annoyed at my GP for referring me to him knowing that I am not wealthy. He is incredibly persuasive and made me feel as though I would do myself harm if I went to another urologist. I am glad I went elsewhere and had my surgery at less than a quarter of his cost and had a brilliant outcome.

Humility is definitely not one of his strong points, while his arrogance is definitely where he excels.

Is really at the top of his game but also appears to truly believe that he is the best. He may well be. I would have liked him to acknowledge and apologise that he was running so late - my time is also important. But holy mother of god, his fees are so so expensive. I was too embarrassed to query his fees and they were simply outside of my capacity to pay even though I was in top private hospital cover. I would have had to re-mortgage my home to cover those costs. I went to another professor who was much much cheaper but just as knowledgeable and expert. Following my fantastic outcome after surgery last year, I am convinced that you can definitely get equally as good, if not better, care for much less.
