This provider dismissed every concern she had and blamed all her problems on her weight. My partner (age 21 at the time) nearly died from sepsis due to diverticulitis in April 2023. She gave her a colonoscopy which she has active diverticua and polyps on, and told her to come back at 45. The standard of care for this condition according to the state of Kentucky is regular visits and a colonoscopy every 3-5 years. This doctor ignores real problems and does not care about her patients.

I had a transverse colon resection in August 2017 for a large benign polyp. I traveled 3 1/2 hours to her office, and was so glad that I chose her. She was very helpful in answering my questions, and had a practical, positive attitude. Her staff was very nice, as well!

Dr Rae and the staff of CSGA are pretty amazing. Getting ready for a colonoscopy is a stressful experience. From the receptionist right up to meeting Dr Rae helped ease my anxiety. Dr Rae took time to have a little chat after I was wheeled into the procedure room. She asked questions and explained what was going to happen. She immediately put me at ease. In fact, after meeting her, my blood pressure (which was high when admitted) actually went down. I don’t remember seeing her after my procedure but my husband confirmed she was there and spoke to him. She also gave me a print out of my results. Thankfully all clear. I highly recommend her but am thankful I don’t have to have another colonoscopy for 10 years.

Lack of compassion and empathy .. talks down to you as if your fears are unfounded and cares not for your well being .. wants to hurry up and treat you like cattle .. It was a horrific experience and hope no one else has to endure it .. Please be careful and if you experience what I did .. don't remain silent . Speak out .. report your abuse ... don't let this happen to the next person..

Dr. Rae is wonderful! She really has great personal interactions & put up with my panicking . Surgery went so much better than I could ever have imagined. When she said she keeps ahead of postoperative pain & without narcotics, she was sure correct. Communications with her both via the portal at Baptist, and phone was phenomenal. I highly recommend Dr. Jennifer Rea!
