my friend told me about this dr because i have multiple chronic pain disoroders and i was traveling along way to see a pm.dr to get my meds, but i was dt radomly at the other place and they could count your meds at any time which i was fine with but since he was way closer i made the mistake by becoming a pt of this man that calls, him self a dr,all of his patients that he handed meds out like candy knew they only need to save a couple days worth befor coming into him so if they were drug tested they were fine, the ones like my friend who needed help and he'd switch her meds/opiates mult times od and died, and then finally the dea started cracking down on him an at first it was no big deal, then he signed paperwork of some kind i wont go into to much of that and he got a large fine so those who need their medication to have some what of a quality of life he will no longer help but those who just need there fix im sure he prob help them out until the dea sees what hes still up to,i had so many scripts that he kept writting and kept telling them i have refills left, their response was well they wont fill them then, come on really how dumb are you, they all go on file i made sure i took pics of them also so i wasnt going to be acused of no wrong doing, and i told the man several times about things so i dont feel sorry for his lame self i hope he endures the pain that those of us with true chronic pain have an he can get no help! go pray dr hatem ataya, really for what that you didnt kill another patient!! you are by far a doctor thats tried and true!!!

I have tried 2 times to schedule an appt with Dr Ataya at his Flint location. The 1st time I was told they only schedule new patients after business hours and someone would call me back after 5pm. 3 weeks later I call again. This time I was told I must of called the wrong number the 1st time because she is the only one in the office who calls the new patients to schedule on Tues and Thurs and she had just finished her calls and I wasnt on her list. She proceeds to take my info and SS# and then DOES NOT SCHEDULE my appt. It was THURSDAY, one of the days she says she makes those calls. 2 days later, still no call back from them. TERRIBLE FRONT OFFICE staff. I will NOT be going to this doctor.

Dr. Ataya is a good doctor who cares about his patient's conditions. He does a wonderful weight loss program and cares that patients are healthy. He is very blunt and and can sometimes come across as short but he is a busy man with 3 offices! Makes me trust his opinion more :)

My daughter was disabled with a mental illness and received SSI. She went to him because someone told her he was handing out Methadone. She is now dead from a methadone overdose. Need I say more.
