I’m very disappointed in the fact that I’m out of $4,000 & am no better! In fact I’m on MORE medication!

Despite a few bad reviews I felt like she was my last hope and I feel let down. Months went by and after talking to my husband, I convinced him this was the Dr that would help me!

I went in to have help getting off of medication. First clue this whole place was a fraud is the first appointment is in 3 steps. First you go into a room and there’s a lady with a white board educating me on something that had nothing to do with me! It was their “program” and I felt silly and it felt phony. Then I get a EKG?!? Why? I have NO idea! It just seemed like the process was not specialized to just me but instead a routine she does for all patients. Which to me isn’t right bc we should be treated as individuals. I’m sure the EKG was just another way to get $. If she needed a background on me I could have easily brought in results. Then I meet with a frumpy lady who did not look healthy and she wasn’t even a nurse but acted like one. Took my blood pressure weight and asked why I was there. I kept asking her what her title was and she said “assistant”

Anyways about 1.5 hrs after I finally see Dr McManus. She was very sweet and kind. Asked me all kinds of questions and basically summed it up to candida. Which I read other reviews that she basically treats ALL patients the same! I was giving her the benefit of the doubt but when she said candida I got a little nervous. She explained that most people suffer with overgrowth of yeast and once we remove the yeast, I’ll feel better. Kind of made sense. I didn’t really have any symptoms but she reassured me that I was having some. So then she proceeds to tell me I need hormones. Based on my past test I never had a “low” result but she again said based on my symptoms she placed me on bio identical progesterone and cortisol. Without even doing a blood test for hormones!?!? What if my symptoms were bc of the medication? I mean if I were a Dr I would have pressed a little more instead of throwing MORE medicine on a patient that wanted LESS medicine!

So when you check out, you have to of course pay for the program and again she recommends all these supplements that she so happens to sell there at her office. $3,000 later I’m out the door and felt insecure about the whole appointment. Oh yes and before you leave, you have to make the next appointment which is $150!

So needless to say a few months down the road and I’m still on my medicine PLUS the hormones she prescribed!

I feel ripped off and pissed off! It’s a scam and she needs to close her business! I could have easily gotten bio identical elsewhere and saved a lot of $! And that’s if I even needed it!

I would have felt a lot better if she took me as an individual and gave me a plan just for me! Not a one size fits all plan!

On our next appointment, which was a 6wk follow up, she said the computer crashed and she didn’t have ANY of my files or notes she had taken. So the whole appt felt “off” bc she didn’t remember anything and couldn’t really give me proper advice. But guess what I still had to pay $150!

I just should have went with my gut feeling and anything that requires thousands of dollars up front seems odd and unreliable.

Maybe the good reviews, she paid for? I don’t know.

I was diagnosed with Lupus in 07, after being very sick for 14 years (fatigue, GI issues, headaches, GYN issues, joint pain~to name a few). I was depressed (on meds for this as well), gained weight and hit rock bottom when I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. I showed up at Dr. McManus's door a complete mess. She personally spent HOURS with me and went over my medical history. I had labs done and started on the yeast free diet. A personalized plan was put together, including supplements and bio-identical hormones. Now I'm careful to not eat certain foods (found I'm allergic to casein, eggs and have a gluten intolerance), and use GAPS foods in my diet. Something amazing happened! My energy is returning, weight is coming off (not even trying to lose it) and I am happier. No more brain fog! Peripheral neuropathy, headaches and GYN issues GONE!!!! GI issues subsiding. I'm off of 80% of my meds. Did I say AMAZING? Just 2 months after seeing Dr. McManus I feel like a new person.
