The doc didn’t even care to talk to me. The nurse checked me in and then 5 mins later he comes with a bunch of scripts and a referral. Ik they only have 15min for us but that ‘visit’ was def less than that. Super chatty with his staff tho. Seeing a diff doc now.

My husband had reoccurring sinus infection that he couldn't get rid of with antibiotics going to a local urgent care office. We needed an ENT. In our research, we read all the negative reviews written here. Still, we looked at Dr. Pollak's medical education, experience, and location. We decided to call Dr. Pollak's office for an appointment. We had an appointment the following day. The busy receptionist was polite and handled all our visits exceptionally and efficiently. Dr. Pollak was very attentive to my husband's hearing loss talking clearly to him and making sure we both understood the diagnosis and the instructions for the medicine and surgery needed for the significant polyp obstruction contributing to the sinus infections. Immediately after surgery, I could tell it was very successful. We are delighted with the results, and we highly recommend Dr. Pollak

Waited almost 2 hours, only to be called in for less than 5 minutes, with him out of the room more than half of this time. He was very rushed, didn't bother to listen to the reason why I came in, didn't let me finish speaking since he just kept walking out of the room while I was trying to explain the issue, refused to take a look; he just wrote prescriptions for over-the-counter medicines completely unrelated to the problem, and said to come back in 3 weeks. Was very rude and so was his staff. Despite him running 2 hours behind schedule, he wouldn't allow for rescheduling to another day without charging $200. The fact that he wouldn't even spend a minute to listen to the issue despite the long wait, and then ushered us out so quick without even taking a look, feels like a scam to just bill the insurance for as much as he can without actually doing anything. Very unprofessional as well. He had the door open the whole time, so anything I said could be heard by those in the waiting room. I know this because I overheard all the patients before me for 2 hours while I was in the waiting room. Despite making us wait 2 hours past the scheduled appointment time, he said he'd charge $200 if we wanted to reschedule. Don't bother coming here if you value your time or actually need treatment. I wish I read the other reviews before going there. An incompetent doctor is one thing, but a lazy, fraudulent, incompetent doctor is unforgivable. I'm surprised that he hasn't been caught yet. Years ago, he also did an unnecessary minor surgery on a family member that didn't even help the problem which still hasn't been treated yet. This kind of incompetence/fraud just discourages patients from seeking medical care when your time is wasted without even receiving treatment, while the doctor just bills your insurance for as much as he can get away with.

What’s really important in a good Dr? It’s nit about wait time or bedside manner. It’s about being a great diagnostician, having exemplary surgical skills and responds to you quickly. Dr. Pollack possesses all of it. In addition has 3 locations and sees patients on Saturday. Many of my family members have also seen him and been exceedingly pleased with his expertise.

this is not a doctor. he has no clue what is he looking at. my mom has an ear infection because she has a whole on her left ear, everyone agreed there is a whole but this Dr said he cannot see anything, and what she has if from her dental work. he did not want to spend any time or listen or prescribe any medicine. he does not deserve the license.

My mom came in for severe pain in her ear and loss of hearing. Dr. Pollack spent LITERALLY 3 mins with her, said she had a fungal infection and prescribed acetic acid drops and told her to come back in a week. No bedside manner. Pain worsened, and Dr. P said there was nothing he could do for her. He further terrified us by saying that the infection might've gone to the bone & she might need surgery. We panicked. He didn't order a scan but instructed us to go to a specialist, even though HE IS ONE. So we saw another ENT doctor & told us that the Dr. Pollack was supposed CLEAN the ear before prescribing drops and send samples from the ear for testing. Dr. Pollack did NONE of those things. New doctor cleaned my mom's ear and prescribed new drops for my mother that cleared up the infection in 3 days. Seems that billable hours are more important to Dr. Pollack than patient care.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Office wouldn’t allow me to schedule appointment just because he didn’t know my copay ammout. I had to go through advocate helpline to schedule just to find out that the Dr. canceled the appointment on me without my consent or notification to me. Very sketchy practice.

I have only had excellent experiences with Dr. Pollack and his office staff over the past 10 years. The first time, I had a serious infection of the jaw that had puzzled other doctors, but Dr. Pollack found the source and may have saved my life as the infection had swollen my throat to the point that I was ready to check myself into the emergency room. More recently (8/28/2017), I had a middle ear infection that he treated at the hospital with a myringotomy and tympanostomy tube insertion. His medical knowledge and skills are excellent. And his office assistant has always been polite and efficient. I highly recommend him.

I had terrible earache and saw dr pollack. He is very rude. He didn't listen me and didn't answer my questions. He diagnosed wrong way. I had ear infection but he said tmj. Ear infection went away more than six weeks because of him. Never recommend him. If you stay alive run away from him.
