If I could give zero stars if I could. DO NOT SEE THIS DR.
Him and his receptionist (who was extremely rude) are the worst. Thank god he is retiring soon.
I now have to start all over again because of his incompetence. Absolutely horrible experience, I only looked him up afterwards. Avoid him at all cost. Also his receptionist was rude, condescending and unprofessional.

This was the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I was told to come in person and ended up getting a phone call while waiting in the office corrdior. This was my initial visit so without a physical exam, he told me what my symptoms were and when I tried to explain, he cut me off, talked over me and then hung up on me. Beyong rude and condescending. Do not waste your time.

He is the worst doctor I had ever seen in Vancouver. Very rude and impatient. He would not allow the patient to explain the symptoms they were suffering and he believes the patient is exaggerating the pain. He is very negative and let people feel so depressed after seeing him. The receipnist is treating people in the same rude way. Very bad experience. No diagnosis was given by him for the throat we were seeing him for. So disappointed an awful experience.

I left a review on here of this doctor from an "appointment" I had with him in 2020. Somehow my review has been removed. This person is not a doctor. He is not a nice person. He is rude, interruptive, dismissive, and will gaslight you. Somehow he was able to diagnose me with nothing, without even seeing me. He yelled on the phone. He called hours late, then blamed me. Just completely awful. Please do not let your GP refer you to this person.

I agree with the other comments. Dr Tong was dismissive and not open to questions. He seemed annoyed that I wanted to repeat what he said and clarify. It was a bad experience and I immediately called my GP for a referral to a different ENT.

I will be filing a formal complaint about this doctor to the medical board. I left my appointment in tears and traumatized today. He repeatedly interrupted me, called me hyper, anxious and then told me i was too overweight and brought up bmi when i was there for my THROAT. I have been told by my actual gastrointestinal doctor that i am a normal weight for my height. I made it clear that i have adhd and that i was not even hyper (i was anxious as he made me so uncomfortable). He told me my mental health was an issue when I was calm and barely talking as he would not let me. (AGAIN I WAS THERE FOR A SORE THROAT I HAVE HAD FOR 3 YEARS). He would not let me explain my symptoms at all, he kept dismissing my statements about not being anxious or hyper and he dismissed everything any other doctor has had concerns about which lead me to this referral. I have contacted my doctor and they will not be referring patients to him any longer, I am so appalled and have left feeling traumatized and so incredibly uncomfortable. I encourage anyone else with a similar experience to report it so no one else had the same experience. He was extremely fatphobic (I literally lost 112lbs in one year and told him that too) , extremely rude, and made me feel uncomfortable about things that have nothing to do with my throat.

Doctor? Clown I would say. All the reviews here are absolutely correct. Is there a way they can strip these kind of doctors off the license? It's a shame that BC even allow these guys to practice here.
He told me the symptoms I have are not really related to my ear (even though I've been getting really bad ear pain). He complained that the doctor who sent me here shouldn't even be sending people who don't have real symptoms. I hope this guy doesn't have any kids, because I'm pretty sure he must be disregarding any symptoms that they have.
Please never meet this guy, even if they refer you saying he has the best lead time. I waited more than 3 months, only to know how big a clown this guy is.
I would rate him -5 if I had a chance. One of my worst experiences in Canada yet.

I am absolutely apalled by this doctor if you can even call him that. I had a phone appointment with him and although he called on time, the phone callstarted by immediately being interupted by him. he would not allow me to openly share my symptoms, and would cut me off and tell me a symptom he thinks i have. which i did not. told me i was crazy and being unreasonable for saying i didn't have certain symptoms or im a liar.
He continued to tell me he would not be dealing with me anymore and i will need to find another doctor, that he doesn't have time to listen to me go on.
I left this call crying, because for 2 years my life has been hell and infections and pain, and to be dismissed and called crazy was just too much. i hope this man loses his license for the way he disregards his patients who trust in him, and i hope there are reprecussions to him behaving in such a manner in a position of power and healing.

Dr ? NO WAY !

Totally agree with all the bad reviews.
20 min late, no apologies.
Since the beginning was stopping me every time, i was starting explaining my issue.
He was keep repeating that i was a liar, he didn't believe that i had no improvement since 2 months, that my issue was just allergies and he didn't need to see me because i had to go to an allergist, that he was a "DR" so he knows everything better than anyone, and i didn't know anything.
Even though i've been seeing a specialist for years so i know exactly what i've got and nothing to do with allergies.
A 5 min nightmare phone call with this UNRESPECTFUL PERSON.
I never in my entirely life met someone calling himself dr and be so UNKNOWLEDGEABLE !
This guy should have the CERTIFICATION TAKEN BACK.
