I was referred to LGH by my GP who was concerned about my heart condition. My doctor furnished me with an information package to take to the hospital that provided the history of my cardiac issues and reasons for my referral to the LGH last night. My first impression of Dr. Joo was that he was inappropriately brusque. But once I had explained the chronology and complexities of my situation, Dr Joo became analytical and communicative. He explained the different treatment options, potential risks and benefits and how my situation was different from many other patients in my situation, with empathy and clarity. He seemed intent on doing the best thing for me and wanted me to understand all the trade-offs. I have to say that I was impressed by his intelligent, no-nonsense approach. Dr. Joo is young, but what he may lack in experience and in patient pandering, he makes up for in applying up to date medical knowledge and rigorous problem solving ability.

This doctor is rude he has no compasion for his patients. Be careful if you see him in Lions Gate ER. He does not listen and appears very young and inexperienced.
