Terrible experience going to see this doctor. Staff is beyond bad. Never less than a 2hr wait. When you do get in, nothing happens.

My Mother was a long time patient with this DR.and previously his Father. She developed early stages of Alzheimers and thus had not gone to see the DR for approximately 1 year. Once we notices signed of her memory issues we contacted Dr Zarouk's office, the receptionist ( who was very rude) then informed us that her file was closes. We then told them we needed to see a specialist for her condition and she replied yes you will need a referral , then we asked and were again said her file is closed. Then we said but she was a patient there for over 20 ears? Then we were told they were not accepting new patients! WTH? She was an existing patient who had not been there for a year? I HAVE RARELY DEALTH WITH SUCH IGNORANT AND COLD HEARTLESS STAFF OR OFFICE. Beware of this office.

I feel lucky to have him as a thyroid specialist. He is the only endocrinologue in North America prescribing reverse T3 labs and T3 meds alone. BUT, when I get blood test, it takes 3 months before I can speak to him. Karine and him won’t call when tests are very abnormal and lots of difficult side effects. I had to go to my family doctor and another endocrinologue to have my meds adjusted and they both told me to stop this treatment with him for lack of research and his lack of availability to follow up with me.
I trust his expertise but with the severity of this treatment, I need a doctor that will follow up with side effects and lab results

I have been followed by Dr Z. for 10 years for my diabetes, thyroid and weight. He was able to diagnose things that other MD have always neglected to do. He always took his time with me during our appointments. He does run a little late, but he is worth the wait. It buggles my mind, that people complain about him but to each their own. Some people are just never happy. I would not change him for anyone, If you want someone that tests what needs to be tested, explains the results and explains all options, i recommend him. I heard the waiting list is long, so if you dont like him, for whatever reason i would recommend to see another MD and give your spot to someone who needs to be seen.

Worst doctor ever. Very kind man but not helpful. If he’s your doctor you better start reading about your disease because he won’t be much help. He’s lost half of the time. Won’t prescribe the right thing for you. Impossible to get in touch with him or his nurse. He will even lose your blood test result and have you redo them.

It is rating for Karine Degre, the nurse of Dr. Zarruk. She prescribed me to do hormones blood work including estrogen and progesterone because my thyroid results was abnormal. When I asked her if there specific time to do test she said no. I was suspicious because I did this type of tests long time ago and I remember my family doctor mentioned something about menstrual cycle. But ok she said no, I did test right after my cycle. I did it privately and got results same day, paid $1098cad. I was terrified, all hormones were in very low levels, and my TSH was very high. I was depressed all day. And I spoke with friend of mine, he is a doctor and he said that full hormones profile must be done before period, after 5-7 days of ovulation. So this blood test was complete waste of money and I have to redo this. How this person Karine can see patients? She is absolutely incompetent in what she is doing. So I am filing complain with health commissioner for Monteregie. What is she doing is illegal. So, imagine she would prescribe me more hormones to take?
