Had my kidneys cleaned out on a Friday. Stents were left in over the weekend and removed on Monday which took less than 5 seconds as he yanked them out. On my way home the pain hit. Unbelievable pain, more than any kidney stone produced in 10 years. Originally, he would not prescribe Percocete, only T3's which do absolutely nothing. Got home, couldn't get off the floor. My wife wanted to call an ambulance because I was in distress and had 2 heart attacks. Rather, I took 4 T3's and waited for a half hour, Nothing., still on the floor. Called a friend who I knew had appropriate pain killers (Percocete) and he drove them out to my house. He only had 3 and I took 1 right away. I immediately threw up because of the T3's in my system. Wow......I had to get drugs from a friend instead of the doctor that preformed what can be a very and extremely painful procedure This whole episode could easily have been prevented had he advised that there could be significant pain upon removal of the stents, so take your pain med's before you come in. At a follow up appt., I questioned his reasoning as to why he would not fore warn me that severe pain could be a REAL concern and his answer was simply, "some patients don't experience pain when stents are removed". Really! Well guess what, some, and after some research, most do. My final impression of Hobart is that he is arrogant and is more interested in the 'operating room conquest' than the well being and comfort of the patient. If your MD refers you to this clinic, make sure Hobart is not your specialist.

My dad had seen this dr back in july at which time he was told everything looked fine and no need for f/u. we recieved a call months later telling us that my dad missed his ct scan that was booked for jan 11.we were never made aware of this appt and were panicking as the receptionist (who is rude, abrasive and unprofessional) told us that they "found nodules on his lung". naturally we were worried and when we called to let them know we were never made aware and if there could get a ct earlier the receptionist was no help-she blamed my dad. she was rude on the phone, told me she was getting frustrated with me.later we find out she intentionally exaggerated her story when relaying to dr.h and we found out from our Gp that dr.h discharged my dad and banned him from seeing the 13other urologist at the clinic despite meeting him only once. our GP also was told this could effect other pts of his from being seen at the clinic. This dr cares more about the needs of his receptionist vs pt.
