After several years of direct and group sessions with “Happy”, I can say that I miss her very much after moving to Nanaimo. She helped me through some extremely trying times, and although she was tough on certain rules (no alcohol while under her care), they always made sense. I never doubted her care, knowledgeability or treatment approaches. I left her care a MUCH stronger person than I was when I first saw her. Yes, her office is messy, and yes, her Yorkshire terriers were often in the office, but that never detracted from the care I received. Her receptionist was always friendly and professional with me.

A condicending doctor, over, over medicated, worried aboutlaw suits I assume due to the multiple waivers to be signed when you come to your first appointment. Thankfully I found a excellent psychiatrist, keep looking guys, don't stop here.

Her office is very un-inviting. Receptionist very rude. In her actual office it looks like a bomb went off and patient files piled up everywhere ready to fall over. Smelly dogs running around the office.

Never on time and never apologises.

Medically she did not listen at all or even cacarete to listen. Did not ask me questions just immediately diagnosed me as "bipolar"and "homicidal" .

WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

If your GP refers you to this doctor PLEASE, PLEASE ask to see someone else. No compassion, empathy or even a slight sense of caring.

Please be careful with this woman if you must see her.

Very up to date with all the latest treatment methods, lifestyle modifications and medications, as well as natural approaches that can be integrated into a wholistic approach. She takes a very realistic and on nonsense approach to managing illness, but at the same time is an extremely caring doctor.
