I was seeing Dr. Patel for an epidural shot to help the numbness in my legs when I fell in her office. She wanted me to go to the ER but I didn't want to. I was able to get an MRI that night and Dr. Patel kept in touch w/ me the entire night ensuring I was ok and if there was any change call her and go to the ER. She called me w/ the results that Monday and told me I had a spinal tumor. She was extremely caring and helpful during this entire time and got me to see and amazing neurosurgeon immediately. I have followed up with Dr. Patel since my surgery and has still been helpful with everything.

Very professional and knowledgeable in her field. Very beautiful. Her staff very friendly and helpful. Overall atmosphere of her office is friendly and sociable. The staff seemed to be very at home and happy and satisfied going about there activities, which is a plus on any job. The waiting time was minimal. Dr. Patel and her staff have been helping me reconnect to a lifetime of athletics and avoid surgery on a chronic back injury that would otherwise be incapacitating. I can work in my physically demanding photography career with pain relief thanks to working with her team and gained so much more than pain management in my experience. I am able to exercise intensively again and have regained a beloved part of my life that had become lost.

I have been seeing Dr. Kiran Patel for the past year and a half,,,and I am completely satisfied...She was recommeneded to me by Dr. Fontanetta, and glad he did....I have been receiving epidural shots due to a car accident I had in 2012,,due to a back injury I find the shots have helped me very much,,,and Dr. Patel and her staff have made me feel very comfortable...I would recommened Dr. Patel to anyone who was having any back pain. My thanks to Dr. Patel and her entire staff for making me comfortable and totally safe....

Dr. Patel is a fabulous doctor. Not only is she patient and knowledgeable but she and her staff provide a true sense of patient confidence in her/their abilities. I SO highly recommend her especially at a time when so many doctors have only 15 minutes to get you in and out of the office. This is the way a doctor's office should be experienced.

I've had 5 spine surgeries and am still having pain in the thoracic area. I don't want to undergo any more surgery and Dr. patel was recommended by my spine surgeon as a viable option. I gladly made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised by her competent staff, professional office and by Dr. Patel's friendly manner. She interviewed me and told me everything that was going to happen. After the procedure she spoke to me and told me what to expect in the following days. I left her in a better frame of mind and just hope that this alleviates my pain.

Dr. Kiran Patel and her staff are very caring. She is very astute medically, truly a brilliant young doctor. She and her dedicated team take the patient's comfort and healing in mind at all times. Biography

Dr. Kiran Patel completed both her Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship and Anesthesiology residency at the prestigious Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Patel specializes in the treatment of back and neck pain caused by arthritis, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis and pain following spine surgery. She also has expertise in treating neuropathic pain, cancer related pain, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) related pain, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), atypical facial pain, pelvic pain, headache and peripheral neuralgias. Dr. Patel offers a variety of treatment options to help eliminate pain intractable to previous therapy, including epidurals, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation and the latest minimally invasive spine procedures. To expand the breadth of treatment options offered to her patients, Dr. Patel completed training in medical acupuncture at Harvard Medical School and Brigham Women’s Hospital. She is certified by the State Medical board of New York to practice Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Patel’s practice philosophy is to blend medical innovation, evidence based medicine and compassion to meet each patient’s individual goals. She strives to improve functionality and allow patients to resume an active lifestyle. Dr. Patel believes that the treatment of pain is not only a physical issue but an emotional one as well. She offers patients the personal time and care that is needed to thoroughly evaluate their pain and provide them with the most appropriate treatment.
