Dr. Bariol did some Kidney surgery on me almost 10 years ago and has been doing the regular checkups in conjunction with my GP ever since. Maybe not the cheapest, but helpful with information and certainly great in what he's doing. Kurt Lerch

Dr Simon Bariol is a legend
He has been working on me for years now, my last procedure yesterday was my 9th

He is so clear and logical in what he is doing and why, this man and his team which includes Anne and his great knock out man Hugh are first rate

Before going into the operating theatre Simon and Hugh greet me as "Clarkey" which is fantastic
I would recommend this surgeon and his team to anyone on earth

I had a Transurethal resectomy on my bladder, I had the same exiperience as the other patient, he did not explain to me the procedure nor did he explain to me the risks involved as required by the NSW health system, I saw so many information sheet about the patients right to have the procedure explained, but not by Dr Simon Bariol, it was all arranged too hurriedly on my first appointment with Dr Simon Bariol, and also after the procedure I was in Westmead Hospital for two days, I was in pain I did not want to leave the hospital, but Dr Bariol sent me home, when I was at home my pain started to increase and I could not pass Urine, then the Pain was so unbearable that I called a home doctor, who could not do much, then I had to go to the Emergency in Blacktown Hospital at 2 AM where I was admitted and given three shots of Morphine before my pain was gone, then they did a test of my Bladder and found there was a perforation in my bladder caused by the procedure on by Dr Bariol, he came around 12 PM and was in a different mode ,did not seem his usual mode of brash mode.

My experience with this Doctor has been first class. His secretary was very helpful in arranging an early booking . Dr Bariol has a warm manner and I felt comfortable with him. He treated my prostate with a new device called Urolift and it has worked well so far.

I couldn't disagree more with the last reviewer. I had a robotic prostatectomy with Dr Bariol last year. At every appointment before and after the surgery he has answered all my questions and spent time with my wife and I. I send lots of my friends to see him and they have all had the same experience. I owe this man my life.

Dr Simon Bariol has absolutely no regard for how to be pleasant or sympathetic to a patient. He refuses to answers questions when asked by the patient or family members, has extremely poor communication skills and generally lacks any empathy. After waiting a couple of hours for our appointment, ours was over a done with in 5 minutes. We are left with so many questions that he would not answer. How can we possible make an informed decision? We will now have to find another Urologist that may spend more time explaining the situation to us than being shoved out the door by Dr Simon Bariol. Rude man.

Dr Bariol's secretary booked me urgently as I had painful kidney stones. Dr Bariol was very pleasant and sympathetic. He booked my operation the following day and now I am feeling normal again. He is a kidney stone expert. Highly recommend.
