Dr Kim is brilliant, talented and kind. She took time to explain everything and to address my concerns. She did an amazing job on my wrist, even the 10” incision line will barely be a scar. She’s fantastic.

I went to Trillium hospital in the emergency ward after my family doctor recommended to remove a splinter in my left thumb asap. After initial diagnosis, I was referred to Dr Sharon at 150 Sherway Drive. Unfortunately, this was my first discriminatory experience in Canada. After waiting for a long time, I reached the operation room, where Dr Sharon Kim was repetitively asking me about my country of birth and last name origin, indirectly asked about my religion, where do I work stereotype questions and based on that she diagnosed my case as not urgent. Even though, the previous two doctors had diagnosed this as emergency. She didn't seem knowledgeable, despite having an ultrasound in front of her and asked me to come after three hours after being in the operation room and already waiting for about two hours. Please safe yourself from Dr Sharon Kim.

I wish I could give a 0 star rating. This is the second time I’ve been to Trillium and have been misdiagnosed and mistreated for an injury. I now require a serious surgery to repair. If Sharon Kim listened to my concerns at the onset instead of just dismissing them and then immediately trying to refer me to another useless specialist at Trillium, I would have been 100% healed by now. Instead, she rushed me into a cast in the wrong position causing greater harm to my wrist, just to keep the line of patients revolving in and out of there. I will have now basically lost a year of my life or more trying to make this right. While I am glad I found my own specialist that is caring and knowledgeable, I wish I would have done it sooner to avoid these surgeries altogether. Do yourself a favour, and skip Sharon Kim and Trillium Hospital altogether if you have a specialized injury.

Dr Kim performed surgery on my badly broken finger. I don’t know why people find her rude with no bedside manner. She was incredibly nice to me, asking appropriate questions and chatting a bit. I understand that sometimes she is running late but she is probably helping an emergency like myself. I take a book and she sees me when she sees me.

Definitely not a sweet talker. Zero bed side manner and quite rude . No time for any chatter that she doesn't question you about. She doesn't listen at all and doesn't fully read notes prior to appts. Her clinic is constantly running behind even if you are the first one there. Will be getting 2nd opinion as she left me with no confidence in her advise.

Great experience with the doctor but I must say the receptionist is so rude.

I had my telephone consult with Dr. Kim in August 2020 and now i'm scheduled for surgery on December 15, 2020. So far Dr. Kim has been good but she needs to do something with her Receptionist. When i call the office, she sounds upset, rude, overwhelmed and doesn't give you any information whatsoever. When she called me to book my surgery i had asked her if i would received anything in writing or via email. She flatly said "NO, this is it". I had ask her that as an HR professional i would need to provide my employer documents regarding my upcoming surgery. She responded by saying "NO, this is it". Either she is incompetent using technology is basically just plain rude. Overall, i hope Dr. Kim is reading this and based on the comments, i've read, the receptionist needs to be replaced ASAP.

Dr Kim performed a miracle on my hand, I can’t wait until she does my other hand. Waited awhile for surgery but it was worth it.

I met with Dr Kim in her Brampton office a couple of years ago about an ongoing wrist issue - a broken wrist that was repaired surgically many years ago and has degraded. She was taking over after the previous specialist I had seen left town. She was prompt, professional, thorough, and had a very kind demeanor. While she had the notes from the previous Specialist, she took her full time to make her own diagnosis. Highly recommended.
