My son is now 12 & has been seeing Dr. Barr since birth. Dr. Barr is such an amazing Pediatrician who genuinely cares about 'his children' (patients). My son was seriously injured when he was very young & my first call was to Dr. Barr for advice on the best hospital to care for him as I was en route. Dr. Barr immediately & personally called me back & advised me on exactly what to do, where to take him, how to get emergency transportation, & what specialists to ask for. My son got 6 specialists that were the best in their fields. The treatment was top notch & the follow ups were always amazing. My son completely recovered with no lasting effects whatsoever thanks to Dr. Barr's expertise. In addition, anytime there is a concern that isn't pressing, I can call the office to leave him a message & he will promptly get back to me with advice. Major sickness or concern; he calls back (even on holidays when not expected). The point is: HE CARES! I wouldn't trade Dr. Barr for anything.

Same Dr. Barr, very different office. He is a wonderful doctor and we are blessed to have him in our "family". He is always WONDERFUL to work with. I do miss the old "personal" touch and don't care for the new system of doing "business", feel kind of like cattle dealing with the office and phone system. Guess we are getting used to the future of socialized medicine practices.

Dr. Barr was fantastic when my sporty 10 year old had problems with her ankles. Never has a doctor spent so much time explaining why she was having these symptoms. Even though she had no broken bones, he recommended baseline x-rays anyway. We will definitely be using him as our primary doc in the future. The only gripe I have is getting an appointment. Each time I call the office, I am on "hold" for 15 minutes before someone answers the phone. If the practice is that successful and busy, it should hire another receptionist!

Dr. Barr is geat. We have two children who have been going to Dr. Barr since birth age 6 and age 9. Dr. Barr is always helpful always available for emergencies.

Dr. Barr is very laid back. He is wise and we feel very comfortable with him! I heard he is retiring in about 5 years? Grab him while you can!

We love Dr. Barr. He's great with my son and so encouraging and reassuring. He's very knowledgeable about and supportive of breastfeeding. A good pediatrician can often make or break the nursing relationship.
