This person prescribed Percocet to my best friend after a surgery and continued to write her prescriptions for dozens of pills every week knowing she was an addict. I went to an appointment with her to try to reason with him and ask him to help her help herself. he could not have cared less. She lost her child, husband, job and nearly her life more than once because of this careless and unethical "doctor".

New office girls are awful. Always an hr wait. Plus he is always on vacation. Very closed minded just prescribed pills not ever finding the cause.

Seems to know his stuff. Bedside manner is good. He takes the time to explain things if you need. Wait times are in line with a doctor who isn't trying to rush you out.

Loves to attend 'parties' where he entertains doing 'stand up comedy' with his patient's medical/personal info. This man has no belief in 'God' or anyone that might be above him. He is his own god. He has spent a lot of ink/paper writing scripts for 'restricted' drugs. He gossips just like his staff & the other doctor in that office - well, air head Dr Anna Issakoff-meller.

I have had similar experiences with all the bad cases below. Dr. Traplin's answer to everything is "That's the way the human body works and just give it time and your body will heal itself".... I've had a surgery done to my arm in October 2015 to get a lump removed and sent away for testing.... His reception called me in November, I thought it was about the test results of the lump, but she was calling to say she has a booked me in for the surgery.....I told her I had the surgery a month ago and was waiting for the test results and all she said was "OH...,.,.,I guess I'll cancel that appointment then"?????? Many other bad stories.....Looking to switch family doctor after almost 30 years with him.

I don't trust this doctor. Something about his overall demeanour and attitude. I am a patient with another doctor at Guelph FHT and went to my after hours walk in. Dr Traplin was the doctor on site. VERY VERY quick to pull out his prescription book. He prescribed me 2 medications. One of which is not safe for pregnant mothers ( I am 33 weeks pregnant and the nurse wrote it down on my chart, I also asked him at the end of the appointment if these medications were safe for pregnant women and his response was " yes...you know what isn't good for pregnant women, dead mothers" - terrible joke doc.) The same medication is not be prescribed to anyone with a mental illness or depression. I don't suffer from either but the fact that he didn't even ask is frightening. I'm GLAD i listened to my gut and didn't just go get them filled without doing my own research.

I have been a patient of Dr. Traplins for many years and trust him with mine and my families health. He is such a smart Doctor who really cares about his patients and loves his job. His staff and nurses all treat us amazing and they always get us in for appointments very quickly. The staff takes a lot of slack from patients and should be treated with more respect than they are. For example the below patients and their comments show the lack of education, morals and respect among patients out there. You just got out of jail and are a drug seeker who are you to judge anyone!!

Was a patient for over 20 years and during that time experienced a very extreme accident that left me in chronic pain. While I will admit that he was good at attempting to relieve my pain over time I became dependent on the pain meds. When I approached him and told him that I was having difficulties he simply smiled and put his Rx book away and said "while I just will simply not prescribe you any more" and walked from the room. After following him into the hallway outside of the patient room he turned around with a rather large grin and said to me "sooo you do want them do you? I guess we won't have any more problems then now will we?" I have since lost my family, career and house as Dr.Traplin in his own words has told me many times that"he does not deal with any king of mental or psychiatric issues" And not long after I went to him for help he ended our Doctor/Patient relationship. I can't help but wonder what my life would have been like had he been bothered enough to care and provide the help that his profession demands of him rather than washing his hands of a problem he helped to create. On a side note I ended up spending a week end in the Maplehurst jail in Milton and when the intake Nurse asked me what I was on (a cocktail of narcotics), she asked where I was from and when I replied I was from Guelph she and her collegue laughed and said, and I quote "you MUST have Dr. Traplin!! we have an entire wing of his patients (all addicts) that he has hooked and abandoned. I invite you to draw your own conclusions but I for one would never take one of my children to see this (I use the term loosely) Doctor!

Dr . Traplin is always late if you make at 9am appt that they schedule for he never shows up until at least 9:15. When asked for a second opinion and asked for blood work he refused. The receptions are short tempered and when an issue arises when they say DR. Traplin will call you back it does NOT happen. I am very happy we are leaving Dr. Traplin and the staff and going to another Dr. The fact that their are signs in the waiting room saying he is accepted patients should be a very clear picture that patients are leaving.
