Christie Sheffer is really wonderful. She is a midwife in Colorado Springs and was willing to come to my home in Divide for a home birth and/or water birth. In my search for a home birth midwife I couldn't find anyone else that would come up the pass west of Colorado Springs. Our first consultation was actually at my home. Unfortunately I wound up miscarrying before I was very far along in my pregnancy. Christie was there for me when I began texting her at 10pm the night I thought I was miscarrying. She was there for me through the whole ordeal. I will definitely go to Christie if/when I get pregnant again. She is the kind of compassionate, understanding, trustworthy midwife I would want and recommend to anyone wanting to give birth at home.
